if i order 2 mg can i break them and just take the 1mg? i used to do that with my xanax. it seems cheaper to get the 2 mg and do that....or is this a med that can not be broken cause it will mess with the absorption?

They are scored, or buy a pill cutter. No problem w/ absorption. They are not coated. Many people chew them or dissolve them under tongue.

Do people also chew Hydro...and what is the advantage of that if so??? Never heard of chewing anything...as far as meds go...

I ordered the 90 kpins and I break them into quarters. Its actually funny, I have all these different size "crumbs" in the bottle. I just bought a neat little pillcutter/crusher/holder. I got it for another non-controlled med that doesnt come in the mg prescribed to me. I will use it for the kpins now. I dont have a need for the "crusher" portion but it is all one little contraption.  Maybe I can cut them smaller! LOL I have a very low tolerance!
As far as "chewing". I know that kpins arent supposedly as fast acting as say xanax for an actual "panic attack", that is whay some people will crush or chew an anxiety med, to get the "attack" under control quickly. Im sure it would be the same reason for hydro. Just to get the effect quicker.

I was prescribed .5 mg Klonopin. That's my normal dose (usually at night as a sleep aid). I bought 2mg Roche Revotrils (same as Klonopin) from an IOP and I use the pill crusher to split them into .5 mg doses. They're scored into quarters and most of the cuts are pretty clean, but I do have a lot of crumbs like Cloudy said. I noticed no difference in potency when I've taken partially crushed pieces.

you can break it, most meds, watch for time release, and capsules, that all.. there are some certain exceptions, but clono is fine.
