We will be upgrading the board in the coming days.
This is a big upgrade :-)
There will be a lot of changes and improvements.
We may be offline for an our or two and many of the board features may not work properly till the upgrade is completed...

Do these 'upgrades' include the spam PM I got from onlinemeds.com? Has anyone else gotten one of these PM's? It looks just like spam email you get in your email box. I realize that our PM mailboxes are the property of DB.com and that they are performing a (needed) service by extending them to users, but are they going to be open to advertisers now?

I was surprised to receive a PM advertising Online-Scripts today. The message says it is from DB. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel this is not the kind of thing PM is for?

The star rating was also used awhile ago on the VIP board, however there were lots of complaints from members as I recall so DB got rid of it. I personally think rating each other is rather silly, but hey...it's not my board!

DB - I like what I'm seeing so far. The new look, pages are loading fast and the new post counter is up and running. Looking good to me, no complaints here!

I think the the board looks great! Good work, DB! But of course I had to check and see how many "stars" I had. Of course I had to sit here and wonder how I could get a couple more.........

I just figured out that the stars thing was to rate each other. I wonder if that system will have an effect on post quality? For example, being afraid to post a disagreement in case someone gets offended (or just simply doesn't like your post) and gives you a poor rating. Sort of like leaving negative feedback on eBay--I never do it unless there is absolutely no other recourse.
It also means your stars rating can actually go down over time.
It's also pretty bizarre that some "strangers" and "newbies" have 5-star ratings with very few posts. Is this a popularity contest, then?

night shade, I was a 3 star yesterday, down to 2 this morning and then back up to 3 tonight. It a bit like the stock market. LOL. turcica

Ugh...I hate poopularity contests. I gave up on that long ago - I figure if I don't like myself nobody else is going to like me either.
On a more serious note - DB? I just noticed when I hit the MOD button to get a thread moved I noticed there was no longer a box to write an explanation? I did like that feature but overall I'm still liking all the changes.
