Percocet - Dropped a Log on My Toe
      #136561 - 02/12/04 09:54 PM

I dropped a piece of firewood on my toe over the weekend and broe three toes. Saw my DR and he prescribed Percocet, hydro gives my bad headaches. The pharmacy I use (Stop N Shop) said they do not fill any oxy prescription whatsoever, no excuses. Go to CVS they told me. They too also refused saying they have been robbed. Anyway I would appreciate it if someone would let me know a trusted person to do business with in this regard. Please only PM me as this is not something that I do not want the entire bandwagon jumping on. I will keep any information completely descrete. Thanks anyway for listening. In the meantime I am drinking some vodka to dull the pain. BYE and have a Great Valentine

sheesh, where the heck do you live? Is there not another pharmacy in town to help you out? I know of one Eckerd's I went to that didn't carry Stadol, never told me why, but I live in a big metroplex and can go about 100 places within 50 miles. Try somewhere else. Call first. percocet doesnt' work worth a crapola for me.

OH, maybe this will make you feel better, my mom dropped a huge rock on her foot and had a tennis ball sized swell by the time I got out with ice. She never even went to the doctor, she's stubborn like that.

sorry that happened, and take care of yourself, good luck hon.

Wow moon sorry that happened. Go to walgreens.com and you can find the closest pharmacy in your area. They are Nationwide. Or check your phone book for a larger chain and call them. turcica

I doubt your doctor would prescribe this common narcotic analgesic if no pharmacy in your area carried it, due to some local bias against oxy.

Ask your doctor where he would suggest you fill your script, there has to be someplace, and even if it means driving for an hour, it'll be faster and cheaper than any shady e mail source you turn up.

Just my two cents.

Or you can have it filled at whatever hospital your doctor is affiliated with.

thats is very strange as percs are very commonly prescribed anyhow. not as much as hydro, but I would say they are the next step right after hydro. I have never heard of a phamacy which says such things, unless they have reasons to suspect something about the script, then they just lie instead of getting into an argument. I would go to different pharms and one of them should work.

Lemongrass right, try the hospital Pharm. Or ask your doc (his sec/recept is usually more knowledgable).

Guess I just feel sorry for you. Broken toes, script for pain but no one will fill it. It's almost funny. Hope you have some decent vodka. Did you buy it at the pharmacy that wouldn't fill your script?

Take care. Ice, keep your foot up. Sit by the fire, if you still have firewood. Some pharmacy has to have percocet. Happy Valentine's Day.

You want to hear something real funny? I broke my baby toe 3 times! I used to do the laundry in the basement where I lived and going down the back stairs, there was a refrigerator on one of the landings that would catch my baby toe every single time I turned that corner. One day it finally broke. You would have thought I'd have learned and would wear shoes thereafter, but I kept doing it. Three times is a charm! LOL

Moon, did you find a place to fill your script? I think this is unreal! I had elbow surgery after breaking it and was given a script for one weeks worth of percocet and my pharmacy didn't blink an eye. It would just NEVER occur to me that a pharmacy wouldn't fill a script. Isn't that what pharmacies are for???

I think it would be quite easy to get a script for Percocet filled at any Major Pharmacy chain. Also, I think I would try harder finding a Pharmacy to fill it because if you go the "Source" route you will be doing two things.

1. Class "A" Felony Breaking the Law

2. Most likely flushing your money down the perivial pooper

I think I would try harder to get that script filled. Why would you have a "Valid" script in hand and instead of finsing someplace to fill it you would rather go the criminal route. Something sounds very fishy to me with this one. Anyone else feel the same????

Hi, stemstabber.

Can you elaborate on this a bit? I'm not quite sure if I get what you're saying.

Thank you kindly,

All of you jinxed me! I read this thread, then went shopping and SOMEHOW managed to nail my toe on the ledge in the dressing room as I was trying on a pair of jeans!

Sheesh! ANOTHER broken toe for me! And I not only broke it, I had a compound fracture from it! So...that'll teach me to read threads on DB and then go shopping on a Friday the 13th!

I'm NOT kidding...this REALLY happened and in that order! I felt like an idiot telling the ER doc how it happened.

Oh, boy!

A compound fracture? You mean the bone went through the skin? Ouch. What a price to pay for the luxury of going barefoot.

You could have always told him or her you broke your toe by "kicking a** and taking names", and then asked him for the spelling of his or hers when it came time to write the Rx...

I'm confused....is the prescription for Percocet or oxy? A lot of pharmacies in my area don't carry oxy but evertone has percocet.

Borg, Percocet IS oxy.

Percocet is a brand name for Oxycodone.

If it's Oxycontin you're thinking of, that is nothing more than 12-hour time-release oxycodone.

Hope this helps.
