FEDXMEDS--UNITED
      #136003 - 02/10/04 07:35 PM

I was just on the FedxMeds web site, and I saw that it says that they are now writing scripts for #120 for the patients rrequesting 10/325. Does anyone know if they will also give #120 on the 10/500s?

I just ordered a consult with them and would rather get the 10/500. However, if I can only get the #120 on the 10/325s then that is what I will request.

One more question. How much does United charge for #120 10/500 or #120 10/325. Also, do they charge more to send meds c.o.d.?

There is a $10 extra fee for COD from United. I use them myself. Sorry I can't tell you the prices on the meds you asked about. I get a compound and the pricing may be different to standard tabs.

You will be able to get the 10/500's. The 10/325's are popular, so they specifically mention them on the home page. Just tell them what works best for you and you'll be good to go. As for pricing, #120 Watson brand 10/500's from United cost me exactly $102.08 and that includes $25 for standard overnight air via UPS.

Mine are a bit higher because they have to compound and fill each capsule. I think around $117 + shipping.

I just had my consult with them this morning. The Dr. called me right on time at exactly 8:00am. He was very friendly. He approved me for #120 10/500s.

I am very pleased with FedxMeds service. Now, I'll just have to wait and see how good United is.

In the email that I received, it states that United ships out standard overnight unless you request otherwise. On their website, it says that standard overnight shipping, via UPS, cost $25.

I did call United this morning and am glad I did. I called them because, in the email, it states that one must let them know, prior to shipping, if it needs to be sent out c.o.d.

When I called them, the lady said she would take care of that and wanted to verify my address. Well, the address the she had on file was my old address. I had used United about two years ago, and they still had me in their computer with my old address. I don't know if they would have caught it of not if I had not called.

Well, even though I called United and gave them the address to which I wanted it shipped, they still screwed it up.

They put the correct street address on the package; however, they put my old city/ZIP, which is over three years old. I used United once, about three years ago, and they still had my old info. in their computer.

Well, I guess I won't get my meds until Monday. I have talked to UPS, and they said they can put in the address correction, but it won't come until Monday.

This is one situation where I'm glad it is UPS and not FedEx. UPS will let the receiver put in an address correction. FedEx requires the shipper to call them to put in an address correction. I can only imagine the hassle of getting an OP pharmacy to actually call FedEx or UPS and put in a correction. I bet it would take them a week to get around to doing so.
