EPHY Refill
      #130536 - 01/21/04 04:00 AM

I put in for a refill with Ephy. Actually, I put in for one several days ago (it is due) and got the standard email "Your order will be processed promptly." After a couple days, I decided to call the pharmacy, and used their automated system to put in for the refill. The pharmacy robot said I had refills, etc etc. Still I have heard nothing from Ephy or health Plan Pharm. I have always had good luck with them in the past. Does anyone hear or know anything? Thanks so much.

Actually, I got my last refill from them a while back and just recently called them to set up another consult, but haven't heard a thing, which is very uncharacteristic for them. They have been wonderful in the past, but I'm afraid they may have hit a rough patch, as they aren't really doing any business right now. Who knows?

I have been trying for well over 2 weeks for my 2nd consult with Ephy. Numerous emails, phone calls, messages left...nothing. I did get a live CS rep once and they gave me the Drs. phone # but the VM was full. Now I can't even contact a live rep at Ephy. It's always "leave a message and we'll return your call" which they never do. Too bad. They were an excellent OP with great prices. I have decided to move on.

I've been trying since November to get my last refill. At that time I did speak with a human and she said she entered all my info & everything should be good to go.

I too received that "Your refill is being processed" email...three days later I got a voicemail on my cell from Ephy asking me to call them as they needed more info from me to process the refill (not that my info had changed from the initial & first refills). I haven't been able to get in touch with a live person there since although I don't try every day.

According to my empty prescription bottle, my remaining refill will expire 2/4/04 so I had best get my tush moving on this one.

Well for everyone's info, I received a call from Dr. B***** today and everything went well, although he did say I needed updated records. Watson 10/325 with 2 refills..

When ordering refills, call ephy's number. Don't use their automated ordering system. When answering service asks for you to leave a message for ordering refills, hit the "0" (operator) button on your phone. Keep doing this until someone answers. Every time you hit the "0" your call gets placed in the queue until your next in line. Their hours are 9 to 3:30 PM EST.. I'm very happy with ephy and always have been. Don't give up. Hey, $60 bucks a consult cannot be beat by anyone, period..

Correction: When calling their 877 number the answering service first places you on hold. After 20 seconds have gone by the automated answering service says if you are calling for a refill please state your name, blah blah. After that message hit the "0" on your phone..This places you in the queue again in hopes that you phone call will be answered. Lately when I've been calling, their phone is either busy or I get right through to a female who answers my questions about the consult, refill or whatever. Be persistant about your consultation. It paid off for me as 10 minutes later I got the call. it was a brief consultation and he sounded like a doctor from India. Hard to understand and hear.

You also have to send in an argeement form now to Health Plan Pharmacy if you want refills. This is to prevent double dipping. You need to print the doctors name (so ask him his name and spelling), your name and sign and date it. NO need to have the doctor sign it according to the Doctor I spoke with. The pharmacy knows its the doctor at ephy..you also need to fax this form in along with your picture ID, which I did. It was a simple thing to do.

Good luck all.
Omega..

Thanks for the update. I have always hit "0" for the operator, someone PM me and told me about it and ever since I have not had any trouble getting thru to EPHY. I was afraid after reading this post something happened to Ephy. I am glad everything appears to be okay. I really like this place!!

I just two weeks ago went to the ephy site , hit refills. It asked if I was a new or existing customer, I logged on with my e-mail and password (since I am existing and put in the RX#. My card was charged and they were overnighted.

No human interaction, I actually by accident put in the refill a little early - got an e-mail - there the next am. If they make me fax in more Best if kept off the board, I may forego the last refill. This place is big bucks $188 (refill no- consult). Generic Xanax ~$2.40 pill + norco. You can get it for a buck overseas no consult. I know people will say about the illegal aspect of it which is true. What with is going on with some of these FL OP's I dont know what is safer. I am on a planned Hydro Holiday now, so I may just save the $$

Only use EPhy for hydrocodone and, or Soma. They are well known for charging very high prices on their other medications. Use Destiny for benzos.

Would you care to elaborate on what you mean by "strange emails"? The only emails I've ever received from them are "Dr. will call within 24hrs" or "order confirmation with fedex tracking number". I'd hardly call those strange emails but rather successful business-like communications.

Just an update-sorry I am late. I got home from work rather late last night, logged onto my computer, and there was an email from EPHY stating that they had sent me an overnight priority pack! I called FedEx to get the COD amount, and they didn't know it, so they told me to call back this morning, and I did- it was $123.50. Meds came today right after lunch, 12:15 p.m.! Boy, was I surprised, and thankful! The only thing I dont understand is why do they charge a 37.50 fee for a COD delivery? Is it that much more work? Well, everyone take care, and have a pain free weekend!

Most of these OP's make shipping a revenue stream. I mean 30.00 for UPS overnight envelope less than a pound. I do a lot of shipping and a i pound pack is around 17 to 18 dollars. UPS/Fedex charge a cod fee. Not sure what it is . Last time I sent something UPS COD was around an extra 4.75. I think it around 5.00 now. Fedex I'm not sure about. But must be competetive. The advantage of Fedex COD is the money is recieved by the OP in a couple of days, real quick. UPS on the other hand can take a week or two. So I belive the shipping is greatly marked up and the COD charges are probably the same. I have heard some places charge an extra 12.00 for COD. No extra work involved , just a mouse click, and of course opening the letter from the shipper containing the check. Just my opinion.\
Best Regards,
Hoop

37.50 is Outrageous for COD I would call them and confirm....are you sure that isn't the shipping total? I would have refused delivery at that price if it was indeed 37.50 for the COD option.

If you're smart you'd stay away from COD orders altogether I aways do the second day econo method which I believe is $12 bucks.

Hey James,
I would love to not do COD ( I dont have a credit card and I tried to find one of those prepaid CC's, there aren't any stores that sell them around here, but I am still looking! Hopefully, I will be able to find one so I can order and use a less expensive shipping method! Take care

IMHO.... and I'm new... but I've been using EPHY as my OP of choice this month after going thru the whole icky AAA thing, so I thought I'd switch over to EPHY... BIG MISTAKE!!!
ON their site the consult was supposed to be $45... but they charged me $60.... I asked for overnight priority before 10:30am, and paid the $37.50 for this choice... and they sent it reg. overnight... Then I also chose COD, which the only thing I was charged normally on, which was $12.50, so I emailed them and told them I was way overcharged by about $25.00, and asked them to credit me... and all they credited me was $10.00, and trying to get a total amount from them for the COD order was such a hassle.. they gave me the wrong amount, and this was after I had already gone to get the money order... so I had to go back and get another money order...
The consult may be cheaper than other OP's but they rip you on shipping costs... and it all worked out to be the same cost as other OPs.
I have one last refill with EPHY, and after that, I'm switching to a much better OP... EPHY, in my opinion was rude, un-organized, and overcharged me on 3 out of 4 items.

With so many other OP's out there with much faster, better CS and more honest... I've learned my lesson.

Well! You didn't try very hard, bratchild. You have a computer, right? Click on your browsers search button and do a search for "prepaid debit cards". Voila!! There are a plethora of websites out there where you can obtain one. Not too shabby, eh? Also, most popular pharmacies have them as well as WalMart, I believe.

MissyThree.
Did you read my post above regarding prescription costs at ehpy?

It might have saved you the headache and high costs. You could have also saved yourself another headache if you used a CC or prepaid debit card. Nothing comes cheap when you demand overnight COD deliveries. I've never had a problem with ephy except for occasional phone calls not getting through. They have saved me lots of money when it comes to hrdro only scripts. Also, sixty bucks is still way cheaper than $120 which is the average consult fee.

Take care,
James...

Try calling some of your local banks and asking if they have prepaid visa gift cards. They work the same as a pp credit card. If you have a National city back try there first.

Many Rite Aid stores offer them at or near their checkstands, and I believe (but could be mistaken) that Western Union may offer a rechargeable prepaid option as well.

You may also consider opening a PayPal account. PayPal offers a debit Mastercard that you can use as any other debit Mastercard and at ATM's for instant access to your funds as well, in addition to the seamless fund transfer options to and from your bank accounts and all of PayPal's other payment features.

Missy,
I also posted regarding the consult increase and informed Ephy regarding it and the website was changed the same day, this was a couple of weeks ago so remember to always read b4 choosing an op(I also do not think that 60.00 is bad) but if you had read the recent threads you wouldnt have been surprised. It does stink when you a bill that is higher then you expect but I guess you live and learn......The world of OPs seems to change at a blink of an eye so you need to keep up with it, you have already made the best step, you are here, so take advantage of the boards and if your answer isn't already here (Which most of the time it is) then ask.....

Take Care
Tray

I generally agree with this, however there are times when using COD for refills makes sense. If an OP I've been using has 6 different threads about multiple billing for refills, immediate charging of CCs for refills but sloth-like delivery times, or in the case of Ephy, no deliveries at all, I'd rather not take the risk of using my CC...I figure that if the OP fails to deliver on time or not at all, I'm not out any $$$ and won't have to deal with chargebacks.

I never use anything but CCs for the consult & initial fill, however, as its my responsibility to check the most recent feedback to make sure there aren't any problems. This doesn't guarantee a lack of problems as I'm currently trying to get a very reputable OP to refund 2 of the 3 consult charges they billed to my CC the same day.

I've never had that happen to me (no deliveries, late deliveries) And, IMO, 1 COD delivery of 1 refill = 1 chargeback cost. I've never had a problem with ephy, ever. And, I don't believe in what-if scenarios, but that's just me. I guess some people have money to burn using COD. I certainly don't.

I agree. I've never had any problems with Ephy. They have always been very courteous and professional to me on the telephone. I have had two consults with them, and I just received my last refill from them a few weeks ago. No snags with them other than a few minor technical issues here and there that were resolved easily.

I am considering going back to NWW for my next consult, but this is not because I have had a bad experience with Ephy. The only reason I'm considering switching back to NWW is because they are now offering 120 count scripts.

It's like Health Plan Pharmacy Services or something like that, they and a couple other OP's use them- this is one time when the info on the "comprehensive domestic op consult list" is accurate.

Ephy uses Health Plan Pharmacy. If you use NWW with #120 (30 extra pills X 3 = 90) with 2 refills all you are really getting is 90 extra pills (or you can look at it as one extra refill) Now take Ephys $60 consult vs. NWW consult price of $120 and you'll just about break even costwise. I think just a little bit cheaper with NWW now But, will the docotor there script you for #120??
