hi everyone...hope you all are not tired of me asking all these questions today....im wondering if there is a reason that i assume that people dont like to use fedex for their med deliveries....maybe im assuming somehting that isnt true...the reason im asking is that last week when fedex delivered my lortab from buymeds, the delivery driver looked just like an FBI agent in a fedex uniform.....i know that sounds silly but he just had this look to him with the dark sunglasses and all... now this next statement sounds even more silly but up until last week when i came accross DB, i never knew it was illegal to order drugs online and so i had no reason for being suspecious when fedex came to my door...it was just the looks of the guy that made me start thinking suspicios thoughts...at that time i was still awaiting my 3 days to be able to post on here...

It's not illegal to order drugs online. Maybe it is illegal from an IOP, but if you are ordering from a US OP, a licensed doctor has written you a legitimate prescription, and to the best of my knowledge, that is not illegal. Unless you really don't have a condition that would warrant the drugs you are requesting...

Rainy, believe me FBI or any other agency that deals with this sort of thing does not have the manpower or time to pose as fedex people. Relax. My regular fedex guy just rocks..i love him, he always has a big smile on his face when he knows he is delivering my meds, and says "finally relief for you". It is probably just a guy thinking he looks "cool" in his new sunglasses.

Totally false. Look up "controlled delivery" in court cases at www.findlaw.com. FedEx lends out their trucks and uniforms to law enforcement all the time. A few years ago UPS said in a Wall Street Journal article that they "never" did the same. Well, there was a case in HI where UPS did exactly that two years prior to the article. It's usually state narcotics officers from the local drug Task Force or else DEA agents. I've never heard of an FBI agent doing it ... they're mostly lawyers or CPAs anyway and don't like getting their hands dirty.

I admit, though, that controlled deliveries are more common with USPS ... which uses Postal Inspectors to do the delivery. Because of the danger involved as well as chain of custody issues, they always need to have a LEO do the actual delivery ... no matter what kind of truck it comes in.

Look up the state drug cases in HI, TX, and FL. That's where you'll find the largest number of controlled deliveries.

P.S. USPS typically needs a search warrant based on probable cause to open a suspected drug package. Private couriers are not government agents and so they do not need to have a warrant (or even a reason) to open any package they have. If FedEx/UPS finds what looks like illegal drugs, they will call the police and their search of the package is legal.

if it is legal for me to order controlled meds with a prescription from an op then there would be no reason for the state DEA to be tracking my meds right?

Thanks for the article, I haven't read the law regarding this and I am a lawyer. I don't have time to read it now, but I can't believe they would target someone in Nebraska for personal use..Wouldn't they go after large quantities order for selling?
