Can anyone tell me how Tramadol compares to Hydro? I had Hydro prescribed to me in April for a foot injury. I've used the last of it but the injury still gives me severe pain some days that OTC medications have absolutely no effect on. I know that Hydro kills it, but I want to get something without having to jump through a bunch of hoops.
I know where I can get Tramadol, I'm just wondering if it's worth it. If anyone has had experience with both, please let me know and thanks in advance.

Hydro is excellent but your right its such a shame its such a pain in the arse that you have to jump through hoops to get it. I would suggest Codeine as being a replacement, its less hoops and still very strong. If I am correct Tramadol is weaker then Codeine however I think both are similar and I could be wrong or misinterpreted the reports I saw since Codeine is supposed to treat mild to severe pain and tramadol is STRICTLY severe, as in deathly pain. Seems like a type of Oxycodone from other reports I read.
However if someone could help or show a Pain Relief chart that demonstrates the levels of pain killers and or compares them that would be great because I am sure many are just as confused as I am.
I have tried Tramadol for my knee pain and all it did for me was make me mad that I used it all up in 3 days. It did absolutely NOTHING for me. I had been on Percocet for almost 6 months for pelvic problems, and now nothing else works, not even Hydro
