Since when is random drug testing NOT legal??? Maybe it's a state to state thing? Definately legal here.

I was at work when it happened...just coming out of the building to my car for lunch. It's their standard policy to request a drug test anytime someone is hurt or if they cause damage to merchandise (say, with a forklift, for instance). I work at a well known home improvement chain. I believe it is also required because it is a Worker's Comp thing too. I was surprised (shocked, actually) when the nurse told me they had sent papers for the test. She called work to verify that they really wanted one. I guess the answer was "Yes" since the hospital then called the drug testing company to let them know. They had someone drive over to the ER to collect the sample. I thought seriously about telling them no, but then thought that would cause suspicion. Nothing has been said so far from anyone from the job, but they may not have gotten the results yet. Another point is that I was supposed to have gone to a specialist last Monday and no one at work has given me the information about who to see. The injury happened a week ago today.... That may be my way out...that they did not follow through with the initial doctor's instructions.

Random drug testing is not always legal, especially if the employee is covered by a union contract (I am), and, state and local laws do vary.
I may have misunderstood CO303's situation. I thought he said he got injured, got some "legal" meds from the doc, took them, they ran out too quickly, and the meds he bought from the OP arrived just in time. I didn't know the fall happened at his place of employement, and particularly a company that has forklifts of all things. If he worked as a word processor or secretary I don't think the drug test would be a big priority. The company knows you're injured and you took legal prescription drugs. Obviously the drug test is going to come back positive.
Yet, I don't see a problem given that he can get a doctor's note or doctor's records covering him.
An additional point I want to make is many employees, many good, regular folks, are all too eager to comply with "authority figures" requests for information. I run a small, part-time business out of my home and the electric company showed up a couple of years ago wanting to see how many square feet my "business room" occupies so that they could adjust that portion of my electricity to the higher business rate. I politely told them they had no right to come into my home and to return with a supboena. I haven't heard from them since regarding the matter.

Hey bottomlineguy... FYI HE is a SHE and I do work in the office as a "secretary" (inventory, sales, P&L reports, etc., and sometimes filling in as the bookkeeper). I can understand the confusion since CO303 is not necessarily a feminine-type "handle"..... all is forgiven

Update on shipment, said they shipped 10 Nov, just arrived (24th December) but can't see the postmark date; but about 6 weeks anyway; all present and correct 100 Gen V's, GREAT packaging. 
I too was wondering if they were ever going to get here, as it was my first order, but things take longer to get to the Caribbean anyway.

i ordered back in novemeber, two packages and still have not seen..anyways, they sent a replacement via express and received in 11 days...their service is great...recommend to all, but still waiting on an order placed on dec. 3rd...hopefully should be here soon...keep my fingers crossed...

They're blue, never had 10mg's before from my doc, so didn't know if this was genuine or not .... until I took one... woooooof ! Knocked me out, better (well I mean cheaper) than the Restoril/Temazepam I was using for sleep, but the diaz give me a 'hang-over' next day on only 10mg, whereas Restoril don't.
Nothing wrong AT ALL with generic V's. Fab. Glad I ordered (first timer I was a bit nervous )

I e-mailed Destint Joey re my order shipped on 12-11-03. They reshipped Express mail within 48 hours with no problems. Have any of you had experience with Desiny Express and length of time to receive? Also has anyone who placed an order after 11-15-03 received order? Just curious.

I know it's OT, but as long as you can show the 'prescription bottle' if there is a question, you should be fine at work when the drug test comes up positive.

I ordered same on Dec 9 and nothing yet for me either AND no answer from email I sent Jan 5th.
Oh, and BTW shadowrose, all is OK at work. No questions about the test and I still have a job Wrist still hurts but is MUCH better than when it first happened - thanks for your note.

When's an appropriate time to ask for a reshipment? I ordered generic V on Nov 24, was told that they didn't have them in stock, so I agreed to have them send 70 brand V. I got an email on Dec 17th saying that my order of 100 generic V was shipped, but have not seen anything. It has been over 2 MONTHS since I've ordered!

I ordered at the end of november. They told me half was shipped nov 27. I received it jan 17.
The second half was shipped dec 1. Received it today (jan 26).
Took a while, but it did arrive, and they did respond to my e-mails.
Btw - the generic blue Val/Diaz that I received has "D" on one side, and scored down the middle on the other side. Is there anyway to tell if they're 10mg or 5mg? (do they do blue 5mg's?)

The generic valiums you received are 10mgs. I have received them a ton of times from MEDISINTER (THE ORIGINAL COMPANY THAT STARTED FIRSTMEDISINTER) THEY ARE ABOUT THE SAME STRENGTH AS THE BLUE"MANO" 10MG VALIUMS. THE GENERIC BLUE D (DIAZEPAM)= VALIUMS ARE PRETTY STRONG FOR THE CHEAP PRICE. I THINK THEY ARE ABOUT TWICE AS STRONG AS THE BLUE 10MG PURPACK DIAZEPAM I GOT FROM UNITED PRESC. SERVICES BEFORE. (GO'S TOO SHOW NOT ALL IMPORTED MEDS. ARE WEAKER THAN THEIR AMERICAN COUNTERPARTS!) CHEESE

Mine was shipped 12/4 and nothing. So they've reshipped express to a different address. I've never had one take this long from them. And I am very leary about the international express deal (especially since I had it sent to work in case sig was required). I feel like it just screams "HEY, OPEN ME!" while it's in transit.

Destiny is a great company. I called on 1/15/04 and explained that I never got my order from 12/2/03 and I rceived my replacement this am 1/27/04. That's dam good shipping if you consider the 15 & 16 were weekend days.

Yes Destiny is an honest, sincere company. I thought my order was gone for good but came thrue after 2 months......................Dont worry your orders will show up sooner or later. As far as potency of medications, well remember "You get what you pay for"

ordered early feb. sat in customs for two weeks, just got letter of seizure....sent letter to destiny with diff. address and will re-ship...if anything that went air, is in customs for over two weeks, it generally means that the order is seized..but again, they are the best for re-shipping. I'm still waiting on an order that went out two months ago that never came but went standard post...i'll just figure that it's gone forever...anyways, they still come through with great customer serivce, everytime...
