Believe me, shortages can happen, even with so called pill counters. I was shorted 27 pills from Pharmanet when NWW was using them as their pharmacy. I was livid. Called NWW and was told they would send a script for the remainder to BiWise. At my cost. Well in the meantime I had called and spoke with the rude phatmacist from Pharmanet who told me to stop payment on the check. My cost to do that 25.00. (Yes, the UPS driver took my personal check, I know him) So I notified NWW not to send the new script but to allow an early refill. that was not done when the time came. Weeks later Pharmanet lied to UPS and said they never talked to me and they filed a claim for the money with UPS. they told UPS my check bounced! I showed UPS the stop payment letter from my bank, but since the driver was not supposed to take a personal check, if I do not pay in full, the driver would have to. UPS believed me (again, I know the supervisor) and he said some companies are just dishonest. But, I was not going to let the poor driver pay. So, I was shorted 27 pills. I paid in full for the shorted prescription and paid a 25.00 stop payment fee. Real nice.
I am hoping Pharmanet crashes and burns. Someone over there must have had a nice time with my 27 pills I needed for my pain.

How long ago did this happen?

I am interested in knowing what these counters are; the functionality of them. I keep getting different reports as to how error- free, error-proof they are. I can't comment on this, firsthand until the girls get back from their trip.

I am sorry about the trouble that you experienced.

I thought Pharmanet did crash and burn, last summer sometime? Wasn't that the big publicized bust that closed up Buymeds and some other OP's for a while?

I didn't know NWW ever used them, my only NWW experience was with St Petes, very happy with the service from both places.

It was last summer.
I don't think that Pharmanet actually went under. I believe YFD may still be using them.

All I know is this....I was shorted 27 pills out of 90 which was almost 1/3 of my script. The pharmacist told me...get this...."I find that hard to believe, we haven't had a complaint in about a month" So he admits they were having complaints. I told the pharmacist I would take a lie detector test, sign a notorized statement knowing that if I lie I would be committing perjury. He said that was not necessary at all. Just stop payment and the rest of the meds would be on Pharmanet but he would not send the missing pills. So I did as I was told to. I stopped payment. Then he denied ever speaking with me and lied to UPS saying I bounced a check. I showed UPS the proof of a letter from my bank showing that I stopped payment that same day the meds came to my home.

UPS knows they lied, but they said there is nothing they can do about it, because the driver broke the cardinal rule of taking a personal check. That poor driver woould have had to pay.So for the bargain price of the cost of 90 pills plus a 25.00 stop payment fee, I got 63 pills. Someone over there is a thief and a liar. Why do I think it was a thief? Easy. The bottle would hold 90. When I got the meds in the sealed pack, and opened it up, the bottle was 3/4 full with this tiny piece of cotton in the bottle. If the 27 pills were in there, that little piece of cotton would have been enough to fill the bottle. But with the pills missing, everything was rattling around in the bottle. My guess is it WAS filled for 90, and then someone helped themselves to 27 of them, before they were shipped. I think that is disgusting...to steal someone's pain meds that are very needed to take away some head banging, vomit provoking migraines. I hope whoever took them got sick on them.

Sorry, this is stil a very sore spot with me. I am an honest person. I live my life that way. Stealing is immoral. Lying is right up there as well. I would have reported them to the DEA but I did not want to stir up trouble for other people who need their meds to survive. so I sucked up and stewed about it. Still am I guess. But for the rest of that month I had to resort to splitting the pills I had left and taking extra tylenol, which barely helped. All this because some loser decided they needed my meds more than I did, for whatever reason.

I'm not blaming NWW. They offered to send a new script for the 27 pills from Biwise. But I was honest. I told them then pharmacist told me to stop payment. I thought that was fair if I could get an earlier refill then, so I declined the extra script. But the early refill was denied when the time came, so I ended up suffering because of some junkie.

Yeah, I know, I know. I can't know for sure someone actually swiped them. But all signs point to it. The cotton in the bottle. The pills rattling around. The pharmacist admitting they had complaints before. Then the pharmacist lying twice to the UPS investigator. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's usually a duck.

Buey,

I am not familiar with this pharm. (I was not with NWW, at the time apparently), and until today, I have never heard their name mentioned; ever!... And, I am well aware of the bigger pharms. to be sure. So, How do you say...'what comes around...?'

All I can add (other than my apologies), if we want to be treated legit, we need to behave legit.

Respectfully submitted,
-Chris

I signed off too soon the other night. But thanks everyone for helping me. The next morning I had an e-mail that said I could log on now and then I had no problems. I just signed up for a consult. Everyone is so nice here. I felt like I was the only one going through these kinds of problems.
