I received this e-mail today and it's making me wonder. My mom has an order from back in September that she has not yet received and I have an order from access meds that seems to be taking longer than usual to reach me. Is anyone else noticing these problems? Here is part of that e-mail:
As of January 27, 2004, we will no longer offer our International Products from overseas until all orders held in detainment in New York and overseas are released and we have found an alternate shipping method. To the best of our knowledge, Canadian Product Orders are still being received by our clients when shipped by regular mail. If you are in severe pain and require a Canadian Product, we will still be available to fill those orders.
To start we would like to apologize to you if you have e-mailed or phoned us and have not received a reply yet. We are swamped with daily e-mails/phone calls from clients wanting an order update, from a company that has been SPAMMING us on a daily basis, and from clients sending multiple e-mails daily. We will send all updates via this new International Detainment E-Mail List. We will continue to work our way through the e-mails, but will not answer questions answered in this letter as we are unable to answer other e-mails in a timely manner.
What Happened to My Order?
Sometime in December, you country went on an Orange Alert. When this happens, Us Customs tries to inspect every package and there is backlog of packages waiting to be allowed in the states. On December 12, 2003, a new Act was introduced called The Bioterrorism Act of 2003 regarding the importation of drugs now requires separate FDA inspection of all shipments of foreign drugs. The FDA is strictly requiring all shipments contain a copy of a prescription from the personal U. S. physician of the buyer. Rather than us try and explain that your country is an election, your government is bowing down to the wishes of the pharmaceutical manufacturers, there is not enough manpower to enforce this Act and the orders will be eventually released, we are including a link to CNN which will give you more information on this detainment:
