looking for info on pain specialist doc in CA
      #130223 - 01/19/04 08:18 PM

Wondering if someone from this great board can help me out...I recall seeing info here (a few months back) about a doctor located in the Los Angeles area (maybe it was Orange County) that specializes in treating chronic pain. He was highly recommended by some other DB members. I wanted to look into making an appointment but can not find his name anymore. Does anyone know his name/number? Or where I can look to find him? Thanks in advance for any assistance!!! Feel free to PM me, that may be more wise than posting. THANKS

(I have two refills with Woody's but after calling them & finding out about them having to transfer my rx I am thinking it may be better to take my records & go visit a doctor in person. I recall reading about another DB member who said they used him & took his prescription to a local pharmacy in person and prices were much less than online.)

Hi Candy - this probably won't be much help to you but there is a section over on the VIP board that breaks down pain specialist doctors by region - don't know if you're signed up over there or not? I'm not from that area so I can't help but maybe somebody from that area will know the answer.

As for your refills with Woody's, you do have to alternate choices - TDI pharmacy or Bi-Wise - many people on the board are in agreement it might not be a great idea to take these refills to a local pharmacy or doctor. Just my opinion and best of luck.

Thanks Sky Queen for your reply. I'm not a VIP member but used to be for a few months...maybe that's where I saw my doctor I want to make appt. with. I'll try your ideas with woody's next week & see if I can ever get my remaining 2 refills.

Thanks again!

-Kitty
