All please keep me in good thoughts. I am about to see my PM MD. I ran out of meds because of tolerance. I am going to ask for stronger meds???

I have chronic ;low back pain. on turkey day i hunerateed C6C7 C5 C6 yuk.... probley surgery in febuary. good thoughts will be appreciated that I can get releif...

Best of luck, John.

If you have surgery on the horizon and can coordinate or verify its scheduling with your primary doctor, hey may very well be likely to provide you with stronger or more appropriate meds (chronic vs. acute), especially if there is a surgical opporutnity where he feels that treating you may not simply conist of the ongoing prescription of pain medication.

Perhaps he/she will be enlightened enough to provide you with CR/SR (Controlled/Sustained Relief) meds like OxyContin or Duragesic patches that provide a measure of around-the-clock relief and compliment them with IR (Immediate Release) form of meds for breakthrough pain when it occurs.

No one should live with preventable pain.

I just got back .
He told me NOT TO SUFFER IN SILENCE.
WE patients are to afraid to speak up I am finding i am very lucky. the md gave me 40 mg oc W/bt meds I could have Cried
