If Metabolife has ephedra in it, I'd question whether it is safe to take it alone.
I don't *think* Vicodin makes a difference. But something like Sudafed that contains pseudoephedrine may not be safe to combine with Metabolife or some diet medications.

I agree with LS - I did a drug interaction check for hydrocodone & a few different diet pills (couldn't check Metabolife specifically as it isn't classified as a drug by the FDA) & there were no interactions reported.

I would suggest monitoring your blood pressure on a regular basis, however. Although a rise in BP is not a listed side effect of hydro, it HAS been known to happen & is definitely a side effect of Metabolife & other diet aids.

Take care.

I agree with LP.
It is safer in my opinion to take phentermine than to take ephedra for weight loss. The cardio-vascular effects of ephedra for some people may be severe. Read strokes and heart attacks.
There are physicians who will prescribe efective diet meds besides Meridia or Xenical.

You are better off with phentermine/phendimetrazine/benzphetamine/etc. ,any of the diet pills you can get from "soft" OP's than you are with ephedra. I'm not comfortable recommending anyone take ephedra for any reason now, but I've done it and I'm fine- has nothing to do with the combination, it's more a matter of you being able to tolerate ephedra period.

PM me or check the boards if you need a good source for the diet pills.

Just for the record, Metabolife now makes diet pills without Ephedra!
