A lot of times aging alcoholics like ozzy will have that shuffle, so I figured that was what that was about. LOL on him suing anyone for his drug habits. He has been on everything. Who is going after next his dealer? I think it is another ploy to keep himself in fame. After the mess with Jack died down, so did ratings, so like I said another ploy. The show is nuts. I watched a couple of episodes and that has to be the worst family I have ever seen, but I don't want to write a book and expand on that.

My orignal post was meant to show that if you are rich and/or famous, then you get treated a lot better than if you are poor or an average person. It also was meant to illistrate that the media likes to find someone famous with a drug problem and then focus their attention on that person and then the media can say look at the evils of (perscription) drugs.

The post has turned out how heartless the politicians are are regarding the laws regulating pain treatment ( I admit in taking shots at the current administration) , or how stoned Ozzy is or his addictive personality.

What I would like is to see an article or hear a news story that does not make pain killers a tool of the devil. I would like to see something positive in the news about pain killers and other drugs that while addictive, are needed.

Oh I totally agree and did not mean to take anything away from your post. The regular person like you or I would be thrown in jail forever for what the rich and famous do. Case in point, Wynonna Ryder and Robert Downey Jr. still doing movies and everyone loves them although they abuse drugs. It makes it really tough for pain patients to get meds because of these idiots. But as I stated before Oz is trying to up his ratings at the expense of people who really need the meds.

I seriously doubt this has anything to do with ratings--how callous. Would you prefer that Jack and Ozzy continue abusing drugs so that their series remains status quo? Maybe MTV is in cahoots with the doctors? Ozzy has taken anti-psychotic meds for years. He has some mental troubles to go along with his addictions. Do you think Sharon got cancer to raise ratings, too? I'm not Ozzy's biggest fan, but to imply that this is a ratings coup is ridiculous.

Boy this must be flame the bird day. OK, no I don't think Sharon got cancer to boost ratings that is nuts and did I infer that? I have a good friend who is dying of cancer and I resent that remark. I think if anyone is callous it is you. No actually I hope both son and dad get help and get on the right path. I also know the oz has had problems for years, I have said so in past posts.

But since you are such an expert, why do you think all of this has hit the fan recently? They have always had problems but it has not went public like recently. I think the show boosted his popularity that is for sure. That is all I was trying to say.

Sorry, qbird, I guess that came out snarkier than I meant. I actually think celebrities have a harder time. I mean, their problems are broadcast worldwide and their reputations are often decimated. "Regular" folks can at least keep their affairs a bit more private. It's still an illness, no matter who you are. And Robert Downey Jr. did, in fact, spend time behind bars. I don't feel so great today, and I didn't mean to flame you so badly, and I'm not, in fact, an expert. I just thought it was kind of mean to imply, or actually state, that someone would go through hell to keep a series on the air. They have more than enough money, series or not. And despite their many eccentricities, I do think there's a lot of love in that family. I've seen worse--many times, many places.

Well I suppose I said it badly but this has been talked about a lot on these boards mainly vip. But no I did not mean to imply that they are getting drugs and going public to get ratings up. sorry you took it that way. Yeah Robert has been in the clink a few times over drug charges, I hope he will get better for the sake of his child. He lost his family over his situation. When you are a celebrity like them, things are more public and maybe that is the case with oz and his new fame. He was a bit unnoticed till the show. Although as a kid I loved his music, still do. Anyway we all have bad days and I am an easy going person so no harm done.

Ozzie's problems began WAY BEFORE Mrs. Osborne ever got cancer, my dear! You must be young...and while you were but a gleam in your daddies eye...Ozzy was deep into the dark, dark world of addiction to illicit drugs. He had a cocaine addiction that rivaled all of rock & roll history....and drank a quart of vodka before 10 am! If your going to research, then research....If you look up the word "addict" in Websters, there's a picutre of Ozzie Ozborne.....So the "whole story" starts with an overpowering addiction ot illicit drugs with the sole purpose of getting high....he didn't have ANY doctors when he started using drugs..and he's just learned to get his drugs from a different dealer...

Clearly this is a generational problem here....Ozzy never had a legitimate need for prescription drugs....he needed drugs....ALL illicit, obtained them, Illegally, and became an addict of his own making...all with the express purpose of getting high....Rush's "story" of I had a legitimate need, won't play out here...Ozzy has been chasing the same high for over 30 years now....clearly, most of those speaking out here, weren't around when Ozzie began his addictions....and they had nothing to do with any medical illness, injury or a physician....they were drugs bought from a drug dealer....at least ya'll could watch Vh1!

Oh great, I now have the old Black Sabbath (Ozzy's first band , back in the early 70's for anyone who doesn't know - they basically invented Heavy Metal with their 'different' heavier sound) -

I have that old song 'Snow Blind' in my head now!! Think I will have to pull out my Black Sabbath Vol.4 LP (I have it on record - yes, as in vinyl, record player - those things that kids don't realize ever existed ) Well you can all guess what that song title refers to.... Oz was deep in the depths of cocaine, painkiller, speedball, narcotics, and everything else addiction back in 1971!!! 33 years ago...... He's been on a long, strange , journey for many years. The song 'Snow Blind' off one of their records from the 1970's was infact, about his struggle with 'snow' (cocaine) - It goes wayyyyyy back - I am just re-enforcing IMUSCOT's explanation a bit. They (and Deep Purple) were my favorire of the 70's bands.... Until I got into Blondie and Devo - and from there on out it is a mystery.....

This was an interesting thread but is now an off topic thread.
Lets stick to topics related to buying meds online and lets avoid politics and insults :-)
