Flaming/Flame Wars
Flaming is reacting to someone's board posting or PM in a hostile manner by publicly chastising the person or bombarding the person with nasty posts or PM's. Flaming may occur to users that engage in behavior that violates what is considered proper board netiquette. A flame war occurs when two or more users flame each other in an escalating manner that threatens to continue unabated. If you notice a flame war developing just notify the moderator or adminitrator and let them handle it. Do not take part in flame wars. If you do you will be banned even if you did not start it :-)

How often does one get rejected from OPS? NWW/YOD
      #124266 - 12/21/03 04:38 PM

Sorry for all the questions, I am still new to this.
I will be placing my first order with an OP this next week.

I will be ordering 10mg Valium and 10/325 Norco. The valium for an anxiety condition, and the Norco for daily migraines that barely ever respond to just migraine meds.

I have about 8 pages of medical records from my neurologist that document my migraines and my anxiety. These records include an MRI, EEG and an EMG

He will not prescribe benzos(except xanax occasionaly for PAs) or pain meds, so I have no history on my records of either. I have been treated with both Valium and Norcos previously, but I do not have those records (they are out of the country)

Do you think I will have any problem getting prescribed what I ask, since I do not have a written history of either meds?

I guess I just don't know how many to ask for...I take both semi-regularly but not on a strict daily basis. I was thinking #60 of both, simply because I usually take valium twice a day and I have taken #60 norco in a month before (although I would like to ask #90 Norco, simply because my headaches are so erratic...I dont know how bad one month/day will be)

Does the Dr simply say "how many of this do you want?" or does he tell you how many he thinks?

Sorry for all the questions, but I am very fearful of losing the $25 if I am rejected. I really cannot afford to lose any money.

Thanks for all the help,

Chris

P.S. I decided to go with NWW or YOD (most likely NWW)

Hi,
I'm new here too and I used NWW last month. I had a very easy consult and was prescribed #90 Norco w/ 2 refills. My refill became available today (I believe after 25 days they send a reminder). I also have very erratic migraines and it's hard to know if one week/month will be worse than the other. It seems that #90 is pretty much standard for NWW. I think your records should be fine. Good luck.
Gretchen

I am a little late here due to being off the computer during the holiday but I suffer from the same thing you do. I have used NWW in the past and they were great. Fax your records and see what the doc says when he/she calls. I wouldn't recommend asking for a certain amount, you may be red flagged. Tell them the severity of the migraines and all the previous meds that you have tried and explain that the Norco is the only thing that works, that's what I did.
Good Luck, if you need more info, please PM I will be glad to help in anyway. I know the pain of a migraine too much.
