I am new to the OP environment (hope i am posting correctly) and have found this board very informative. Although, I have been reading post for about a week and still feel confused and uncertain about which OP to consult with. It is like you read something good and then something bad about all of them. How do you decide??? I have a legitimate medical diagnosis, but I am waiting on my records from my local doctor which seems to be taking forever. Are there any OP that will consult and prescribe meds and recieve records later before next refill???? Any advice/comments would be greatly appreciated as I am in much pain. You may also PM me.
Hello, and welcome to the board! I know it can all seem a bit confusing at first, but once you've been through the process once or twice you'll be a pro.
To try and answer your first question, how do you know which services are reliable, check out the 'Feedback' board. As you already seen, most of the OP's listed have both positive and negative comments. Just like in the rest of the world, different people have different experiences and we all get to voice our opinion. A bad comment doesn't necessarily mean the OP is bad, nor does a good comment mean the OP is good. Look for trends... if the majority of the feedback is good, especially the more recent comments, you'll have a good chance of success. Conversely, if an OP has a lot of bad comments with a few shining remarks mixed in, you might want to stay away from them. Also, keep in mind that NOBODY here wants to get ripped off or receive poor service, and we're quite vocal about it. When it comes to US doctor services, unless there are numerous bitter remarks you probably won't have any problems.
For you second question, which OP's will prescribe and send out a script without medical records, I personally only know of one... norcoworldwide.com. They will give you a consultation and send out your first fill on the condition that you fax them suitable medical records before your first refill. I believe there are others that do something similar, but again that is the only one I know of personally. Just so you know and aren't breaking your back trying to get extensive documentation, most of the OP's will accept the universal multi-diagnosis "super-bill" as your records. What i'm talking about is the standard sheet they have with all the common diagnosis' and codes, where they circle the appropriate diagnosis.
I hope this all helps. Again, welcome to the board and, hopefully, pain-free days. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions I might be able to help you with.
