I am so livid, and don't have time to be worrying about this tonight, but here's the story: I ordered a refill from NWW today, received the tracking # via email this morning, which was activated around 7pm tonight. It said picked up from Pittsburgh. The next time I checked the status of it, it said DELIVERED so I called fed ex. First time a lady said it must be an error and to call back Friday to try to see where it is. Second time the fed ex rep said that this package was picked up by someone in the hub in Pittsburgh by someone with probably a fake i.d. and that I should file a claim cause this one is a goner. I am so mad right now I could scream. My package should not have been at a hub, it should have been in transit all the way here to Kansas City, not to be delivered until Monday the 29th. What do you all think? Think a fed ex worker took it or maybe just a system mistake or what? If a fed ex worker took it, why would they bother scanning it to say delivered? How could someone pick it up when it is at an airport to come to Kansas City????? Someone please give me some good news so I can enjoy my Christmas with my kids...help....has this happened before to any of you??

partymom, as someone who recieves lots of Fedex stuff through work, I'd be more likely to believe the first lady that told you it must be an error and to check back in a day or two. Probably you were unfotunately last on the list for some worker with Christmas on the brain and they made some error along the way but your package should find it's way to where it's labeled(i.e. to you). I'd believe that sooner than I'd believe someone had a fake i.d. with your name on it and went to the Fedex depot with it just to grab 90 norcos! Hope all turns out well and hope you have a very merry Christmas with your family(I'm in a hotel tonight still on work travel)! Happy new year, Johnny

I just got the same tracking result and I could not understand because I put in for it late last night, so it makes no sense that it would be anywhere near here (CA) this morning just past WED AM 12/24.

something very similar happened to me last year. Everything turned out alright. I think I just got a harried worker anxious to go home. As near as I can tell, it happened just as Johnny described. Hang in there. It can make for a lot of anxiety, but mine showed up on the first delivery day post Holiday. I hope it works out for you too.

partymom,
So sorry you have to deal with this stress around the holidays. Really, I would call Fedex again and explain the situation. Don't just go by the bad news. I find it highly unlikely that someone had fake picture ID with your name on it; if a Fedex employee stole it, he wouldn't have scanned it for delivery outside of the zip code it's supposed to be delievered to.
I know it must be hard to think rationally right now, but you need to call back. You only have two opinions, the "fake id" one sounds like a canned response to get you off the phone.
Fedex/UPS are very busy this time of year, and it is very possible they made a mistake. Certainly moe possible thab someone in a different city with your name nad pict
Good luck and happy holidays@

Call Fed Ex back and ask for a supervisior, they can usually tell you more and are more helpful than a CSR!!

Thank you all for your responses. I do feel much better. I do think this guy on the phone didn't know much. He asked what it was so I told him medication and he said, 'well, it's a goner, I smell a rat'. He probably just didn't want to be at work tonight. I will call back on Friday to speak to someone else and cross my finger. Thank you guys again, and Merry Christmas!!!

Let me see. I have no experience with NWW, so I don't know where their shipments originate from. However, assuming it originated in Pittsburgh, there is the possibility that the Doc or the Pharmacy picked it back up, thus terminating the shipment. They've been known to do that for various reasons. I doubt it though. Furthermore, it is implausible that anyone else picked it up at a hub for the simple reason that one delivery attempt must be made before that would be allowed (if I'm not mistaken). With the sudden onslaught of holiday packages, I suspect it's a simple tracking program error compounded by the 2 cent interpretations of various employees. You can't trust anything FedEx says. Once, not knowing my tracking number, I called and asked if they could tell me if I should expect any packages that day. They said they could if I gave them some other info like name, address and zip code, which I did. They emphatically stated NO, I should not expect anything that day. Of course, the truck pulls up 15 minutes later. Happy and mad at the same time was I.

I would recommend calling, getting a supervisor, and request the tracing department to call you. They can trace the package, and honestly when you call Fedex, they really don't know much more thn we do....I had toresort to this route awhile ago when the tracking info was completely wrong on website and when I called.
A very kind woman from the tracing dept called me, they can find out where your package is in 2 minutes if it has not been delivered.
Also, the fake ID thing is unlikely.
Once, I had my boyfriend pickup my meds at a hub, they took his liscence as proof of age - that is all.
Anyhow, I had a diff, but similiar situation and I am sure that you will get your package. Ask for the tracing department- I am awed that they did not even do that for you, in my case they offered and I was contacted by the hour by the tracer across the country untill I got my package.
I sent in a letter of appreciation to Fedex, for all their help!
I hope that this advice helps!
And to everyone, a Safe and Merry Christmas!

I had a package once that the tracking didn't show it getting to my town. Stuck somewhere in Middle America. I called the sender and they told me it was stolen or lost. NOt 10 minutes later, the doorbell rang, it was my package.
Well, my package didn't ring the doorbell, that would be silly, but a delivery person did and they had my package.
Good luck with whatever you find out!

Provided no signature was required, a person could send themselves via FedEx, reach out through a special hole, and press the doorbell right on the button.

A guy here in Dallas tried that - he got busted peeking through the holes!
I hope it just turns out that the package wasn't scanned, or improperly scanned. I'm sure it's a PITA to have something like that happen, not to mention that you're without meds.

Thanks everyone for all the replies. I am thinking maybe they just parked it somewhere until they get back to work tomorrow, cause they are not working today. Don't know why they would scan as delivered, but I wasn't too worried until the rep said to say good-bye to the package, someone had picked it up. I realize now how absurd that sounds. It should be nowhere that it is possible to even be picked up at this point. Anyway, we will see what happens.
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

How would someone hundreds of miles away get a fake ID with your name on it?I don't think so.Another way of looking at it they got a fake ID hopped a plane at the last min($$$$)min flew to Pittsburg and got it.I say nooo wayyy to either situations, maybe for a Brinks truck full of meds but not a bottle.I hope you have a Merry Christmas....

Well if the package is on the westcoast and you are on the Eastcoast it could have been routed wrong. Maybe by using wrong zipcode ex: 95121 15121 it happens all the time.
Being that someone picked it up with a false I.D is unlikely they would have to know the tracking number plus make an I.D and have it sent to a location near them. Not likely. Unless you were a big company and someone wanted to do an inside job and be making tons of money I really doubt that situation. Another thing is I don't know of pickups at the H.U.B, which is an air terminal. I know packages can be dropped off at dropboxes located there but not pickups. To me it sounds like the courier just mislabeled it, when your processing packages on the road and printing up labels sometimes you put the wrong label on the wrong package. Like I said before maybe wrong zip typed in. Believe me there are so many other ways to steal packages without having to use a fake I.D especially if the courier wanted it. I know all this because I worked for them for 12 years. So any questions drop me a line. Oh wait a day or 2 after and see where your package is then and it should all settle out.

Ok, I know the fake I.D. stuff is ridiculous, which is what I said to the cust serv rep who said that. I knew he was full of it, and how could someone possibly pick it up when it is still in transit not having left the state of origin. I talked to another rep today and she says that she is showing the package being delivered to a fed ex address, that the last place she shows it is in Memphis Tenn. which is the final sort facility they use before it makes it's way to Kansas City. She said tomorrow when it gets moved again I should be able to see it in the system, we'll see. I want to go to the hub and get it tomorrow or Saturday, even though it isn't due until Monday to be delivered. I want to throw a fit about all of it and see if they will dig around for it. Think it'll work?? Are the hubs open on Saturday??
Thanks for all the advise, again, and Merry Christmas!

Well, I called Fed Ex this morning and they tell me my order is on a truck for delivery, even though it isn't due until Monday. So they still show "delivered" on the system. Guess I got all worked up over nothing. Sorry, guys.

On the contrary, you had good reason to be "worked up". FedEx (as well as UPS), need to greatly improve their tracking systems. Many of their employees would agree. I'm glad you're getting your package though, and early to boot.

Hey, I was worried too, so don't feel like you overreacted when you were facing Xmas weekend....
my meds came this am the tracking is still showing its wild story, so...
hey, if you don't chase down every discrepancy, sure enough, something goes wrong... there is a reason why we are so quick to get that sinking feeling....good luck!

Well I waited most the day for the meds to be delivered, and then had a feeling they weren't going to bring them today even though cust serv said they would come; so I called around 2:30 again and sure enough, they had taken them back to the hub to be delivered Monday so I ran down there and picked them up..no problems at all, thank goodness. So good luck to everyone else expecting theirs tomorrow.
