this is pretty much off-topic but for as hard as those drivers work I'm always surprised at how nice/friendly/smiling/ they are. One holidy season about a decade ago I signed up to be a christmas season helper. I got to see the job from the inside. My guess would be 50% of the customer base abuses them, yet anytime either fedex or ups hits my place they are like best friends. I know the money is good, but they work very hard. When I have to work very hard, and get abused by a stranger, my first response is usually not like what I've seen from those delivery people.

Maybe they're nice/friendly/smiling because they're buzzin' on our meds!

I just had a scare with UPS. It was from United, though, not Lakeridge. But I had been waiting for the package all day and I live in a rural area, and the UPS truck had already come and gone. I checked the tracking page frequently and low and behold, it said "delivered" to "porch". Well needless to say, it was not on my porch. I had already called UPS to get in touch with the local hub and driver. So, I called again and told them that the package had NOT been delivered to me and there were meds in the package and it would be really upsetting if someone else got my medication. Also, it was a signature package, so they are not supposed to just drop it off. Anyway, needless to say, after I told them there were meds in there, the package showed up in about 15 minutes. Don't exactly know what happened there, but I feel that if I wasn't on top of the situation, then my meds would have been long gone by morning and I would have been SOL.

This might be just me, but I would never let driver know there are meds. Maybe eyedrops or skin cream but not meds.
