Hi, I sent a Western Union to Dr. Alderdi on the 9th. I thought I would have received by now, so I checked status with WU and the funds have not been picked up yet.

My question is will my spelling his name Albierdi instead of Alberdi effect whether or not he can receive transfer? Thanks.

The person picking up the transfer is supposed to have ID that matches the name on the transfer, including any middle initial.

Once I sent WU to a friend and mis-spelled his name and he was able to get the transfer anyway. Not everybody pays attention to details like spelling!

You are not the first person in history to spell a name wrong. Possibly WU has a mechanism in place to let you correct the record.

Make sure you are sending him the order and transfer # to , other wise he will miss it. If the something else is wrong, wrong name, wrong senders name, etc, he will let ya know. The above email addy should fix it.

Yes, I did send to the correct e-mail address. I just came from the supermarket and they changed name and I e-mailed the Doctor that he can now receive funds.

Also, Dr. Alberdi never e-mailed me he did not pick up funds or that there might have been a problem. Looking at the form yesterday I caught the wrong spelling. I have ordered before and received in 7 days. Thanks for your replies.
