I'm in a really bad situation in which I have no pain meds and I am in a lot of pain. It's hard just to get up and walk and I'm normally a very active person. My doctors appointment is on monday and I can't get any working pain medicine until the visit. Tramadol would really help me get through this long Friday, then Saturday, then Sunday, all full of pain and anxiety. If there are any ops that can ship right now and deliver by tomorrow please let me know. I am in California, if that makes any difference.
ps: running out of meds (especially when youre physically dependent) should ALWAYS be avoided.
Yup. They aren't likely to pass out a scrip or samples for anything more than Vicodin 5/500 or even codeine, but that'll at least get you through the weekend with a minimum of misery.
Thanks for the replies, I have managed to get through the worst part without going to the ER or anything, though that small amount of hydro or codeine they would have given me would still have helped a great deal. Today I'm feeling much better, I suppose, and now it doesn't seem like such a long time until monday.
Also, I repeat, ALWAYS have a "special" supply of whatever med you are taking that you never touch unless it is an emergency (you may have to give this to another person to hold for you if you feel like you might "cheat" and make excuses). I made the mistake of running out of meds without any kind of backup plan numerous times thinking it wont be too bad, but I was very wrong. Please dont make such a mistake or you will likely end up suffering.
