OCCIPITAL NEURALGIA

I talked to a pain Dr today & he thinks that my lifelong headaches are related to this. I hope I spelled this correct (if I did not, someone please correct me). I asked him if there was a procedure in which the nerve was deadened or severed to stop the pain altogether. He said there is & he actually does the procedure. I was wondering if anyone has any info or links to check this out. He says they use high frequency radio waves to do it. Any input would be greatly appeciated.
