Fedex refusing to let someone else sign
      #123125 - 12/15/03 07:03 PM

I ordered trimox from beachrx and I put a note for fedex to let nighbor sign for my order. When my package came my neighbor came out and said she was suppose to accept my package because I was at work and he refused to let her sign for my order. He said he would get it trouble, and I would have to pick it up at the hub. There was even a note that I put on instructions to the driver to let her sign. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Gosh, I got lucky because I leave a note and they leave my packages in the mailbox.

They do this because the driver doesn't know whether your neighbor has permission to sign for it or not. I know that you left a note on the door, but how does the courier know if that is really your genuine signature or not. He has no idea if that is in fact your signature.

It's totally for your protection and for FedEx's protection.

Fedex brought my package back today. He said it was a new guy and he didn't want to break any rules. I like my regualar fedex guy. He always knows what to do. He let my 18 year old son sign one time. I'm just glad I can trust my son.
