OK folks, here it is, I've been hovering between 110-180 mg Oxycodone per day for about 5 months along with 3 mg xanax(both oxycontin 80's and 40's and 30 mg roxicodone IR's) and I've ordered 100 .2 Temgesic,100 75mcg catapres, and 100 5 mg Valium. Is it safe to take clonidine and Tems at the same time? I have 2 weeks off of work Starting Dec 27th and it's time to get off this stuff. If anyone has any advice I sure would appreciate it. what dose of temgesic are you planning to take? how much per day?

I'm not really sure yet, I've never used any of these meds,that's what this post is about.I would rather suffer a little than be unsafe. I plan to taper as much as possible for the next 3 weeks, and try to be back to feeling fairly normal within a 16 day period of time. I did the cold turkey thing for about 5 weeks last year and my resting heart rate was around 100, it totally s**ked ,but my resting heart rate was down into the high 70's after a month. I went to the gym alot during this time,but for the first couple of weeks I spent most of the time in the jacuzzi and sauna!!! Thats where I tested my BP and RHR.My job is very physical,and my metabolism is pretty high,so I get through the roughest part of the phsyical WD's in about 4 days, the mental part of it IS NOT going to go away anytime soon and I'll have to deal with that part of it one day at a time. I've been doing my homework getting as much info as I can about these meds so I have an idea of how much to take, but I thought I'd try to get some info from someone who has personally experimented with both meds at the same time to be safe. Like I said earlier, I've done cold turkey, and the way I see it is SOME relief is better than NONE. I can and will deal with it soon!!! Thanks for listening, KO

I used to take .3mg+ of clonidine as well as .3mg - .6mg IV/IM Buprenex Inj every night with no problems at all.
The injectable Bupe is much more efficient than the tabs, so dont let the appearance of a low dosage of the Bupe I was taking throw you off. I used at least 2 amps a night usually one before my clonidine tab then a few hours into the night I'd do half an amp....then another half another few hours later.
Never had a problem...just slept better.
You can add benzos, too, if you get really bad...my own docs said it was no problem as long as you dont go crazy with it....I added 1-3mg xanax to the other two drugs at night and could sleep fine.
Now....getting off the bupe was a different story....
