Is anyone here a lawyer, or familiar with laws?
      #122578 - 12/12/03 11:51 PM

I need major advice. This has nothing to do with an OP, but with a real Dr. and a potential Medical Malpractice case, I have been meaning to ask this question here on this site.

I have done a ton of resarch and it is a real, serious situation and a lawyer says it is indeed Medical Malpractice.

Please PM me, or post. Thanks to anyone in advance.
Any help on this subject is greatly apprecited, the medication was Duragesic. I repeat was. No longer in use. A prescribed medication that was discontinued.
Long story, bad outcome and need some good advice!

Thanks All, and not sure whether to post on board the complete story.
In advance, any help/feedback on knowledge of Duragesic also would be helpful. Thanks , there are so many people here, I always remind myself how lucky I am to be a member.

Hi - there are a couple of members (Trampy, BillyI) very familiar with legal matters but I believe they can/will only comment in general terms.

Here's a link to a thread that lists a few good Law forums on the web where you can get more specific answers to your legal Qs for free. Additionally, most Personal Injury law firms offer free consultations & work on contingency bases with minimum $$$ required upfront for actual costs incurred only. At the very least, having a consultation will give you an idea on whether or not you have a viable case.

Good Luck!

It sounds like you have already answered your question. If you have consulted with an atty. and he says you have a case go for it. Make sure your atty is a specialist in medical malpractice. If it where criminal law I could give you an opinion, but that's all it would be an educated opinion.
Take care. Billylll
