Does any one know the rules or legal procedures for purchasing Ritalin; our insurance expired and the cost in the states is horrible, and we are considering the boarder route. Please let me know or PM me if you feel it's ok
Purchasing Medications
Outside the United States
Traveler Alert
Occasionally, U.S. residents purposely travel to other countries to purchase medications (drugs) for personal use. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is concerned that medications purchased abroad may present health risks to the user.
Medications approved for sale in the United States undergo rigorous testing and review to verify their identity, potency, purity, and stability and demonstrate that they are safe and effective for their intended use. Not all countries have approval procedures and manufacturing controls similar to the United States.
If you have questions about the use of any medication, FDA encourages you to contact your physician, your local pharmacist, or the Board of Pharmacy for the state in which you live.
Enough of the boring BS. I take 40 mg of Ritalin a day. I am also a 5th year pharmacy student and a RN. This is final's week and some unsscrupulous fiend stole 1000 mg (50 20mg pills) of my Ritalin. So, I placed an order with mexrxonline.com. #60 10mg Novartis for around $80. Very fresh in blister packs. I have also obtained Ritalin in Mexico. ONE WORD OF ADVICE, PLEASE BUY THE NOVARTIS BRAND NAME in blister packs. DO NOT buy any bulk meds in zip loc baggies. I am not sure if you can legally import a 90 day supply, or beaause RITALIN is a Schedule II, you might only be allowed to import 50 dsage units. PM me for some suggestions, I used to live in San Antonio and have imported my fair share of methylphenidate and other sundry pharmaceuticals in the early 90's(When I was 18 and didn't care). PM me--------eddie

Good Morning Treborla: Bad News ,After checking, you are allowed to LEGALLY import 50 pills of Ritalin. But that could be construed as 50 dosage units PER PERSON. PM me for some unsolicitied advice!!!

TJ is probably the best place to get meds, but be careful and don't go alone. I live in Texas so I cross either at Brownsville or Nuevo Laredo, Brownsville is best and I take a bud who speaks the lingo, really good since you can find the best deals with a Spainish speaking person and they really like to barter down. Get better prices that way. Yep I am afraid only 50 units is legal of ritalin or any scheduled med. But you can get Soma and some really cheap antibiotics which save some $$ to the doctor's office especially if you know what you have. If you take some friends, each could declare the 50 units. Get my drift
