I wanted to let everybody know that Ephy is doing consults.
I just had a consult with their new Doc, Dr. B***es, this morning (I'd like to keep his name off the board, but just PM me if you need it). I have seen his name on this board before associated with another OP (can't remember which one).
The consult went quite well. It seems as though he actually read my medical records before calling me. He was friendly enough--but most importantly, he didn't ask a thousand questions. Got the usual #90 10/500 w/ 2 refills.
One more thing, I called Ephy customer svc. to verify my shipping info., and Tom told me that since I just had the consult this morning, the pharmacy might not ship it out until tomorrow. Hope they don't have to call me and ask local doc and pharmacy's phone #'s like they did last time.
I'm so glad Ephy came through. I was beginning to lose hope since everybody has been giving them bad feedback lately. Don't lose hope, because they will come through. It just takes a lot longer than it did in the past.
This is exactly how long it took:
1. Received last refill end of October
2. Put in for another consult via web site Nov. 28
3. Dec. 4, cust svc told me consult would be on Dec. 5
4. Dec. 5, Dr. never called; cust svc said he didn't show up for work & that it would be on either Dec. 9 or Dec. 10
5. Dec. 8 @ 9:45, received call from Dr which I wasn't expecting since the lady told me it'd be 12/9 or 12/10
I'm sorry for going on and on, but I know that I was desperate for more information about them last week--So that means there is probably someone as desperate for more information about them as I was last week.
I know the service was slow this time, but you still can't beat the $45 consult price!

Received meds today. All accounted for.
There was one slight problem, however. On my last consult with them, I received the 10/325's, and this is also the medication listed on my medical records that I faxed in.
During the consultation, the doc asked me if I wanted the 10/325's. I told him that I wanted the 10/500's instead, because they seem to be more effective to me. He said that was no problem. However, today when I opened up the package it had the 10/325's in it.
I'm not sure if it was a mistake of the pharmacy or the doc, but I figure when my next refill comes due, I'll call the pharmacy and see what they can do.

10/325's are probably more expensive.
Roxeanne: Be sure to check with the pharmacist to see if an error was made, or if maybe he didn't call the doctor and change your prescription TO the 10/325's saying he was out of the strength you wanted, or you may be stuck with the 10/325's for the rest of your refills.
I would also call Ephy's toll-free number and ask the woman if the pharmacist called and asked for a change from what you originally requested to 10/325's for the duration of your prescriptions, and if that is the case, to please have the doctor correct that pharmacist and insist that you receive what you were originally prescribed (which may involve giving the pharmacy a new scrip for what he ordered for you in the first place.) The sooner you do it, the more likely you can make sure you get what you wanted and were first prescribed, or if this was just an 'error' on the part of the pharmacy.
I'm curious how many people have been getting "substitutions" where the pharmacist calls the doctor and makes changes we don't care much about them taking it upon themselves to make. They should call US first and ask US for permission to call the doctor to make changes, and tell us exactly why the scrip needs to be changed to begin with.
(In my case, I find it REALLY hard to believe that there is only $5 difference [I was told by pharmacist]in the price of 90 2mg alprazolam vs. 180 footballs.) He said he was "out" of the 2mg. so changed my prescription for the duration without my knowledge and I didn't appreciate it. A phone call with an explanation would have been nice! If anyone would like to PM me the price they paid for 90 generic footballs, and 90 bars of alprazolam, I would appreciate it...and know if I was fed a line of bull or not that there was only $5 difference. You can't get THAT good of a deal overseas!
Take care, all

I did call the pharmacy this morning to ask them if they had filled it wrong. They put me on hold and checked, but said that the Dr had written the script for the 10/325's. I think the Dr just made a mistake, because I did receive the 10/325's last time and that is also what was on my medical records.
