Question about MedsviaWeb - anyone rx'd #120 hydro
      #120675 - 12/05/03 12:09 PM

First of all I want to say HELLO and HAPPY HOLIDAYS
to everyone. Now for the reason I'm posting, I was wondering if anyone who may have recently had a consult with MedsviaWeb (for Hydro) could give me some feedback regarding the amount prescribed to them, as I just had one with Dr. O *****e and explained to him, when asked, that the amount of hydro I take depends on the severity of my pain(migraine). He then stated "well the most I can prescribe is #120." I then said that is fine, therefore, I expected to receive that amount, but instead I only received #90. I'm not certain if it was a mistake, mis-understanding, etc. for right when the doc. got on the phone he asked me to hold on a minute, but after 25 min. of holding, I hung up and called back again, was re-connected again to the doc who, though polite, had no idea what was going on, who I was, etc. and said "where did we leave off before we got disconnected?"-which is not what happened being we never even started and this was only just the first mixup during the process of getting my script sent to the pharmacy and then shipped out to me as indicated by the doc. From several posts I've read regarding MVW, I see that most state they ordered and received #90, so my question is- Has anyone ever been prescribed #120? I did not want to call C.S. to complain if no one had ever been prescribed this amount? Thanks in advance for any answers. I'm sorry this is so long & rambling, but sometimes I have a hard time trying to explain myself > SORRY! Take Care All!
PEACE

Although the MVW docs do listen to you and hear what you tell them, they have such a cookie cutter mentality that they just routinely write them for #90 and be done with it. Yes, others have been perscribed 120 ct. before, but I'm not sure if it was Dr. O or not (he's my doc as well) I think one of the docs at Ephy typically does 120 ct. if the condition warrants it. These guys are so busy that they just get into a pattern and stick with it. (OK, #90 hydro with 2 refills, NEXT) You could get on the phone and tell some of these docs that you have a bleeding ulcer, but it doesn't hurt at all and you'll get the same response(OK, #90 hydro with 2 refills, NEXT)JMO. Be thankful for what you got, that's my motto. Good luck.
p.s. The above comment is not referenced to MVW, Ephy, NWW or anyone else. It was more or less aimed at some of the OP's that are no longer around. Go figure!

I've been around for a long time and never have been scripted 120, but do know of several sites that did do that for a while. I have been told that I was getting 120, and only rec'd either 90 or 100. So, it happens to everyone. I believe that YOD used to script 120, and so did Midland, I think.

Hi
Dr O*** did the same to me, he said ok about the 120 but when I received my script it was only 90. I called CS and explained and I guess they contacted the Dr. and fixed the problem. so I suggest you call them. good luck! Anglwink

There are still Ops that prescribe 120 if the pain is warranted. I know that YOD, EVMG, and Fedxmeds all do or at least I have heard. I would call CS and get it taken care of.

Angelwink,
Thanks for sharing your same experience concerning MVW. You're reply was exactly what I needed to hear(well actually read)to validate any possible thoughts I had of me mis-understanding what was said to me by the doc. I think
I will take the same approach as you and call C.S. with hopes they will correct the error as they did in your case. It won't hurt to try RIGHT? THANKS AGAIN . Also, thanks to all of you that took the time to reply to me with your advice/opinions. I appreciate them all.
WISHING ALL PEACE and NO PAIN

Lovie recieved 120 from dr O to treat her serious condition. That is four a day for a month and hope that is enough to hold her through.

Thanks! Yeah, that was a great film and is the one xmas film I watch every year since it came out. I still use the "buck up little camper" reference in my everyday life more often than I should. "You shouldn't keep mother waiting!" is said as part of my families turkey day blessing every year too. Funny movie with just tons of one liners.

How about "I've been here seven years, I know high school girls" (I think that's the quote) or the ever popular "I want my two dollars!!"

Now I am pissed!!!! Same here... My husband was told 120 but he ended up geting 60 3 X a day???? Well if you figure it out that means the refills are every 20 days. (thats what the bottle says). So I called back and forth with customer service (who btw, are very nice just dont know what the other hand is doing), anyway, they told me that if he wanted to talk to the doctor we would have to pay another consult fee. I had emailed Matt, and about three other of the "contact us" names on the website and never got a response. So, yesterday they sent the refill for 60. I explained to them that now I am paying double the shipping charges and he will need another consult in 2 months NOT 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I know I should be thankful that he is getting relief but when I hear that the same mistake was made with others it makes me wonder if it is on purpose. If any of you have 60 3 x a day take a look at your bottle. If it says 20 days supply then you can refill at 14 days too. (from Desmonds mouth) This makes them more money.
This experience has been one issue after another with netpain. All small things that shouldnt happen. When He first had the consult, they told him the meds were shipped. 4 days later... and after calling a bunch of times, I was still told they were shipped, I said well my cc wasnt charged. He put me on hold and talked to pharmacy and said "there was a problem with your CC". I replied " Was it the wrong expiration date that I had already called you about to make sure that you had it correct this time?"
I hate to sound like a bi***, but it gets frustrating..
Now for the good news We are up north in the blizzard and sure enough UPS drove by us, I turned around and followed him to my house, He ran over to the truck and signed. We REALLY werent expecting them today with this weather and all the cancellations. So my husband is praising UPS and NETpain right now
I just wish they would get it together as far as the DR and customer service communication. WEll, thats my experience, sorry so long..

Yes, Netpain and Medsviaweb are the same. Same Doc, same pharm, same CS...just different websites. I actually asked CS why my hub wasnt in website database on Medsviaweb and he said " anytime you need info, just call me...that website doesnt work correctly all the time".
I really think that human error is to blame. I understand no one can be perfect all the time. That is why I didnt FREAK out on CS and I thanked him "very much" each and every time I spoke to him. WHo knows...they could be ovewhelmed themselves since all the ops shutting down. We will stick it out and try again at the next consult and see how that goes. Even with all of the issues we had, it was still better than dealing with unsympathetic doctors.

"Come on Lane, your really bumming me off man". Great stuff. Oh the ever popular "I WANT MY TWO DOLLARS" of course is a great one. Funny stuff.

My friend Lovie asked the doctor for 120 and recieved them. She was asked how many she took a day and said she takes 4 to 5 a day and the doctor said I am rxing you 120 5/500 or that is what I was told. She did recieve the 120 but it was for the 10/325 as mentioned. Right now they are sending her the correct meds as she was told that the problem had been solved. She had to send her meds back and should recieve her correct ones tomorrow. So far the cs people have been great. i will update.
