I've noticed many complain over huge telephone bills:
Just wanted to suggest that many services now offer $50 per month unlimited long distance.
And some cell phone companies will offer an absurd amount of anytime minutes with free long distance. That's what I do and don't have to worry about it. (for $50/mo I get 1000 anytime, 3000 weekend and night from Sprint)
Or you can just buy a $5.00 calling card...I buy one just for consults, contacting the pharmacies if needed, because as we all know, you can never get through using the 800 #'s (if any) are given out. Anglwink
Or cell phones....which now many offer a great number of anytime minutes,long distance included, for around the same monthly as some long distance carrier's......Then there's always 10-10-220 and many others I can't think of off the top of my head.....coffee cup still half full

EZ - that's my solution too: my cell phone. Yes, sometimes they cut out and yes, they aren't the audio quality of a land line, but I refuse to essentially increase the costs of my pain treatment with a huge phone bill. Having the phone line available wherever you are also removes the stress and inconvenience of sitting by the phone waiting for a consult doc to call. (Unless, of course, you're using medsnationwide customer service who pick up the phone everytime on the first one or two rings -- and then is just as helpful and friendly as can be! Doc called RIGHT on time too. Yes, it's a plug! No I don't work for them. ha!)
