I know that the subject of generic vs. brand name benzo quality has been talked about a lot, but I would appreciate any input on the following questions:
1) If I am going to be ordering Xanax from a US OP, is the difference in quality between brand name Xanax and generic very significant? (i.e. should I request brand name?)
2) Can you please give me a rough idea of prices for #90 2mg brand name Xanax vs. #90 2mg generic Xanax? Is brand name WAY more expensive?
3) Any tips as to the "better" US OPs to go to for Xanax (as far as quantity prescribed and price of meds)?
Thank you so much.

Hi Rex
I can tell you I purchased 60 2mg Xanax bars from NWW for 52.00 Consult was 120.00 The prices didn't match the prices listed on the website, but customer service was excellent. Quality is good....Mylan makes them.

Weird, when I used NWW for xan - I received Geneva brand, not Mylan. (The 'bars' stamped GG-129) They were of excellent quality - I have never had the name brand, but these were great.

If your buying gnerics from USA/Canadian pharmacys they should be exactly the same as the name brand........but if u buy generics from overseas then its just a gamble on the quality......

Often, you can be sure that the actual active ingredient is present in its promised amount...my theory is that it's either the fillers that are of poor quality, or that the active ingredient has a slightly different chemical structure (lesser homogeneity in the active molecules), meaning that it is some analogue of the original structure....Just speculation, all of this!

My Doctor gives me 60 1 mg Xanax every month and when I go to Rite- Aid to get them I always ask my pharmacist for Upjohns. The Greenstone and Genevas they use for for generics just don't seem to work as good. Maybe it's all in my head!
