An awkward problem new
      #119583 - 12/01/03 12:34 PM

This is a problem some of you may have had - and it's a little embarrassing - but maybe I can post about it without feeing humiliated.

I take a strong prescription, a semi-synthetic opiate, and in addition to being constipated all the time (I can take care of that with OTC medicine) I get what amounts to a serious gas problem.

See why it's awkward to talk about?!!!??)

I mean this isn't the occassional burps once in awhile, no, this is seems to be full-fledged expulsion of what amounts to metric square meters of gas!! I get so bloated with this that my stomach swells to the point of being uncomfortable - then I head to the nearest place that I can be somewhat anonymous and let'r it rip! Not the 1 or 2 second variety mind you, but I think I could launch a rocket if I had to and when I'm sitting on the toilet I'm almost sensing that a little more and I could propel myself up and hit the ceiling!!!

Any of you experience this ever, and what can I do about it?

Or, bottle it and save money on your heating bill!

Maalox Max Antacid & Antigas quick disolve tablets, 2 or 3 won't hurt you but check if your prescription meds say anything about antacids interfering with them.
