I'm wondering if a UPS Next Day Air Saver package might arrive in the morning on monday, though I believe the website says it's not guaranteed for delivery until the end of the day. Any info/personal UPS experiences to share?? Thanks in advance!!!

If it's not priority overnight, than it does not need to be delivered untill 5:30 pm. If, however, the UPS driver has a regular route in your area, it will be delivered at whatever time that is. Like where I live, UPS pretty much always does their deliveries around noon, so that's when I get mine. So, it's possible it may get delivered in the morning, but not guaranteed. You coud always try calling UPS and telling them that your package is due to be delivered, but it is medication and you would really appreciate it being delivered early. I tried it once, and it did work. They were courteous, although I've had better luck with Fed Ex. At any rate, good luck. Hope you don't get stuck waiting all day.

UPS Next Day Air Saver sucks, there is no other way to look at it. Mine usually come around 4'ish if I have them sent to my home.
If you can in the future get it sent to a business address of some sort, then you can get it by 3.
The UPS hub near me is horrible and disorganized. I've had Next Day Air shipments arrive later than 1 (they're supposed to be there by 10:30). Fedex in my experience has been much better and accomodating, also a lot more together.
From what I read, that is not the case for most people, it's usually the other way around. A bad hub can screw up everything.

I just rec'd my pkg from UPS, my driver usually comes here around 11am, I have rec'd pkgs from shopping orders and he was here today at 10:55am, so it depends on when the driver is in your area doing his route.

FYI on Super Saving Shipping costs:
Super Saver actual cost (per UPS site) $17.62 was charged $25.00 --- 10:30am delivery would have been $18.88
Another one: Super Saver shipping acutal cost: $16.61
10:30am Delivery $17.87 was charged $25.00.
So how is it that they can charge $25.00 for something that actually cost them less to ship it? But like the old saying goes "MONEY MONEY MONEY, everyone is out to make a buck" especially when us CP patients are undertreated by our PCP and we have to use OP's to get relief. Really sad world we live in. Just my .02 cents.

Could not agree more, Purple. Did you ever order from getmedsquick.com? They used to charge $44 on top of their already grossly overmarked-up prices for UPS Next Day Air Saver back when they were using Pharmacy Plus...scumbags. For that much cash, why can't it be Next Day Air? I understand wanting to make money, but give me a break here...$44 and they can't bump it up to Next Day Air, even if it would mean losing a couple dollars? It is really sad this world we live in and how people capitalize on human suffering.

Thats shipping and handling. They charge for the envelope and Bubblewrap (if your lucky) . That adds another 4-5 cents. The rest of the money is used to run a nice profitable shipping department.

After several delivery nightmares, I finally started having the packages addressed directly to my local UPS hub. If you have them sent there, you'll hav'em as early as the place opens. For me it works great. The hub is close to work and I just pick up my meds on the way in. After all, I always ended up having them held there anyway (after a missed delivery) as I was never home and having them sent to work was out of the question.
BTW, do some checking into your local hubs before you chose where to have packages held so you don't make the same mistake I did. In my town, stuff goes from the UPS airport hub to the UPS ground hub 10 miles across town to be sorted. Who'd a thunk it? If I have something held at the airport hub, it has to travel the 10 miles BACK there which means I get my meds almost 2 hours later! Efficiency at work.

Purple,
Most businesses use freight as a profit center. My own company does. We get a great rate (through a contract) through a domestic carrier like FedEx or UPS and then mark up the freight to what it would be for anyone shipping a package. OP's mark it up, apparently, to whatever they like. It's the way of the world. If you've ever ordered anything from say, Amazon.com or Crate & Barrel, look at your freight costs. Most mail order or internet-catalog companies calculate your freight costs based on dollar value of the order -- not even the weight of the package! Yes, FREIGHT is indeed a profit center! ~ Vic
