My order from AssisitPain is being detained, I recieved a letter today stating I am in no trouble at all, in fact I can write them a good reason why my Panadeine,Mersyndol, and Nurofen Plus should be sent to me. Well i don't know what to say or if i should even make contact. The letter states if I do not make contact the items will be sent back to sender or destroyed. I need some legal advice please! Worse come to worst i lose out on 60.00 and I hope I'm not red flagged!!!!

Do not contact them! Just let it go and bite the amount lost, which in your case is not that bad...$60.00. Some people have lost hundreds.
You aren't under the microscope but the OP is now. Don't involve yourself and open up a can of worms. If you volunteer information, it could put YOU in the hot seat. This is a ploy on the government's part.
Though you know that you have legitimate reasons for your medications, the DEA will not find one thing legitimate about your importation of these drugs. What they're asking is if you have a legal prescription for your meds and importation licensing. Neither of which you possess, I'm sure.
So, even if you responded with a most sympathetic plea to receive your meds, you won't get them. Doesn't matter what ailments you have, what kind of pain you may be suffering, or even if you claim you didn't know what the laws were, the only thing they are looking for is if you had legal standing in importing these meds. Got it? Don't respond. It's in your best interest not to.
I hope this has helped.

I totally agree with lemongrass. Ignore the letter. You don't know a thing. DON'T VOLUNTEER ANYTHING. Their 'being nice' to you is a common ploy to get a defendant to admit guilt. Don't buy into it.

Hey-
Tear that letter up and act like you never received it. You'll never hear from them again BUT ABSOLUTELY DO NOT attempt to gain your meds because it's not going to happen, no mattter what the letter says. I know quite a few people who have received the same "love letter" and in not replying and letting it go you're keeping yourself off the hook. I know it's scary but it will go away.
Take care-

Everyone above is wise and right. Walk away. Don't fixate on the money---we have all spent that much on things we regretted, whether all at once or over time.
Walk away.
Good luck!

I'm not worried about the money at all, and inside I knew not to make contact this "Love Letter" seemed to good to be true, even going so far as to say if I "do not claim my order I will not be charged" .Now how can the FDA keep me from being billed?????? Well super thanks for all the replies!

I think what they meant by being charged was that you wouldn't be charged with a crime.
I've got to wonder about something. I was just thinking how easy it would be to forge a letter from customs that claims seizure. I'll bet there are some scam artists out there who take your money, send you a LOVE LETTER, and lead you to believe that the goods were actually sent. Things that make you go "hmm".

That would be easy to detect the Country of origin for the FDA would be the US. So a scammer would need a contact in the US to send the letters and chances are they would be in bigger trouble for impersonation of a Federal agent or agency than actually sending meds to the US.
