How many records are too many?
      #117554 - 11/21/03 05:59 AM

I'm getting my records and have been told that there are 80 pages. I've had quite a few surgeries over the years. Do I fax all the records? Seems like a lot. And expensive too, that is, expensive to get the records from my Dr. The medical service charged me over $35 to have the records mailed to me. I wasn't real happy about that. Any help is appreciated!

Hi Mark,
LOL, I think 80 pages would be a little excessive. Maybe you should weed through and find the report of your most recent surgery for your ailment. This should be suffice I would think.

Thanks. I thought the same but wasn't sure. What's important and what's not is something I'll have to look into. By the way, I can't find my post unless I do a search on it. Do you ever have this problem? It must be a computer thing.

A page that has a diagnosis and documentation of the med you want being prescribed is all you need. My records do that in 2 pages, and I've never had a problem.

But definitely don't fax 80 pages.

I received 30 pages of records from the doctor. Just weed out the one's that don't pertain to your condition that you are seeking a consultation for. That's what I did.

Re: Not finding your post without doing a search: When creating a new post, or reading a post, you have the option at the bottom of the page to add it to your Favorite Thread(s) - then it will not only show up on your "My Home" page here on the board, but you can also choose to have all replies within your favorite threads emailed to you. Pretty nifty.

When creating a new post or replying to someone else's post, look below the lower "Instant Graemlins" and you'll see a checkbox that says "Add this thread to my favorites" and check the box before hitting 'continue'

Sorry - I know this is off-topic, but this was an issue that drove me nuts for the longest time until I figured it out. Just wanted to help

Thanks! I appreciate the help. I posted again before I noticed my original post was there. Rookie mistake.
