Several people on this board have been kind enough to let me know that my post was not quite appropriate. I apologize if this seemed out of line and I do thank those of you that were concerned enoough to send me a private message.
This past year and a half has been one of the worst of my life! The pain associated with my back and back surgery has truly taken it's toll on me! Then because I was always in pain, I could hardly even move around that much. Hence my 30 pound weight gain.
It became a vicious cycle that never ends. So in response to one of the messages I got from a fellow DB member regarding the possible serious side effects possible with the meds listed in this thread, I am aware of these risks and at this point I am willing to take them. I know that many people have had terrible reactions to Phen-Fen and because I am still hoping to find either fenfluramine or dexfenfluramin to help me with losing some of this weight, I in no way meant to trivialize the real problems many of the Phen-Fen users have experienced.
So sorry again everyone, I guess desperate times call for desperate measures! Oh and just to be clear, I am still trying to locate these meds as I am willing to risk some of the side effects that are associated with them. But once again, I appreciate everyone's concern!

I read your earlier post, but I didn't reply, as I have no idea where to get this stuf. I'm assuming you did a google seach right off the bat? I know I've seen phenteremine (sp?) listed from several places, but not the one you are looking for.
As for the weight-gain and slowing-metabolism thing, well join the club! I'm just turning 47 and my metabolism is creeping to a slow crawl. Due to my various conditions (back, hernis and now an elbow inflammation), I cannot do any kind of ecercise program involving weights or movement, except stationary bike and walking. I hate spinning, so I walk a lot, all over the place, every chance i get.
That may not be an option for you, but isn't there some kind of physical activity your condition would accomodate? It makes a husge difference, not so much in burning actual calories, but in cranking up the metabolism so what you eat gets processed faster.
You know I'm assuming they banned the stuff you are looking for for a good reason, but it sounds like you have thought this through. Personally I'd rather have a few extra pounds around the middle than a diet-medication-induced heart attack.
