For those of you who have had the buprenex injections do they work better than the sublingual pills? If so how much better? Is there a noticable difference? Whats your experience with these meds? Are the injections worth the "having to prick yourself?"

Never tried the sublingual myself, just the IM, so I can't compare. Never used it IV, I just used to poke myself in the fanny, pretty simple. I am not a big fan of needles, and I cannot imagine injecting myself IV, but this was no big deal. Very fast relief.
I quit it as it was giving me some strange side effects, like I lost my sense of smell. Wierd. Came back a day or two after i quit the stuff.
I have not used Subutex or Subuxone, only Temgesic SL. Compared to the 0.2mg SL, the 0.3mg Buprenex is MUCH more effective. So much so, that for me, it might as well be another med! A single amp (IM) lasts 6-8 hrs IME.
So in answer to your question, yes, IMO it is certainly worth it.
