I'm just wondering if there's anyone out there with this problem. I've never seen anyone metion it on the board. If there are any other sufferers of this very painful condition, I'd really like to hear from you.

I haven't seen anything on the board about it either.
I don't have it, but a friend of mine has it in his feet. My opinion is that it was caused by long-term undiagnosed type-II diabetes, but he's not so sure.
Anyway, he describes it is an itching, burning, tingling (typical nerve problem symptoms) type of pain. He takes Ultram for it, but I don't think it controls the pain completely. He's 70 years old and doesn't like taking opiates unless absolutely necessary.
I don't know much else, but could probably find more info for you if you need it.

Put neuropathy in the search function and you will find a lot of threads where it is discussed. My sister suffers from it, although a doctor hired by the government at her social security hearing said it wasn't painful. Most of my family has neuropathy, diabetes runs heavily on both sides of my family. All agree it is painful and can be debilitating.
