man you can't write very long subjects can you? (I couldn't explain in the subject line here)
Anyone else getting the "connect to drugybuyers.com" window popping up? every time I open a thread I am being prompted for the Windows password thingie (forgive me, I've not had my morning coffee and I can't think of how to describe this) I don't have to enter anything, I can just click it off. Just wondering what's going on, and of course if I am the only one.
(?)
What little I remember of Windows, it sounds like it's trying to dial out with a modem for something you're using ethernet for ? (Cable or DSL, etc.) ?
There are properties I believe in Control Panel -> Modem (98) or Start -> Network Interfaces (xp), SOmewhere nearthereabouts, that has a checkbox with something to the effect "auto-connect to the internet" or "automatically connect to internet". It may even be in the IE settings also.
This issue would be local to you only unless it were a web popup made to look like a system window, which I doubt. Hard telling what cause it, Windows changes it's own settings for no reason [gestures towards gates with finger].
See if that tracks down anything, OH, check to see if your IE is possibly set to say "work offline" or an outlook client to say "work offline" somewhere in or near the "File" menu upper left.
It seems to have stopped, strange though. We have cable internet, not sure about it wanting to dial out. [shrugs] It looked like one of those windows that pops up when you have a password stored in windows for a private site or something (?)
Anyway, thanks for your reply, must be twilight zone in my computer the last few days, I'll blame Halloween
