This is a definite victory for chronic pain patients. No doctor should be held accountable for his patients misusing or overdosing themselves. And no doctor should be asked or forced by the government to undertreat something as serious as chronic pain.

Prosecution says it will charge him again. Stupid useless waste of taxpayers money.

I agree completely. The directions are clearly printed on the bottle and even inserts for more information.
If a person fails to follow directions on a hair dryer that states do not use near water and you fail to follow directions and drop it is a sink full of water and get electrocuted is it the manufactures fault?
When the cap on a radiator states do not attempt to open while car is hot, and you don't follow the directions, you get burned.
I really feel for the loss of the people who lost loved ones due to not following direction. You can't blame it on the person who tried to help a person live a some what normal life with what time they had here.

I agree, but I think people should be able to get these drugs OTC. Drugs being illegal is stupid. One thing that does Best if kept off the board me off though is how doctors that are scripting oxycodone to anyone that wants it rarely get convicted, and if they do they get a fine and don't get very much time, but the black guy that sells heroin on the street gets 10 years in jail. Neither one of them deserve to spend a day in jail, though they are doing the same crime.
