Last night I ran out of anything interesting to read so I started channel surfing hoping for a good movie and I happened onto Fox as they were interviewing Bo Dietl. My god, that red faced, shouting mouthpiece for the drug company! Buying drugs on the internet is now his personal crusade, how easy it was, and how dangerous to everyone. Then they had the ceo of Eli Lilly company talking about how dangerous canadian drugs are to the US. Evidently to hear him and Dietl talk the poor Canadians have nothing but counterfit drugs. Even though a lot are bought from over here. Amazing isn't it? The news show was so contrived. It was obvious that Deitl and the CEO knew what the questions
were going to be and they had slick ready answers. Especially the CEO.

My god, I hope all this "prescription drug addicts" furor dies down quickly. It looks as if online pharmacies are in a battle and I am afraid they are going to lose. Too much money, too much skewed information from creeps like Dietl.

The forces of evil have seized an opportunity to promote their own interests, and for the time-being they seem to be getting the upper-hand. I don't recall who said this, but someone on the board came up with a terrific idea ... join forces with the AARP. We have a mutual interest to protect and they have a lot of political clout. I wonder as a practical matter how we could approach the AARP as a group and participate in lobbying and publicity activities. It may be that we would have to participate behind the scenes given the negative stigma associated with users of narcotics or other controversial meds, especially if they are relatively young. We are an easy target for the forces of evil to exploit and use to support their agendas. OTOH, it is a little more difficult to villainize the elderly, especially those on fixed incomes who can't afford meds.

Does anyone have any ideas about how we could form an alliance with the AARP to fight the forces of darkness? Or other ideas?

I read somewhere--can't recall where--that there is a march on Washington planned for next March or April. The march is specifically focused on chronic pain sufferers, unavailability of pain meds for any number of reasons, and the "politics of pain." It's possible that a branch of the AARP may be involved. I can't do any research at the moment, but anyone with itchy typing fingers and the owwies might give it a try. I assume we could all call our local branch and feel them out about the issue. I'm 39, so can't sign up, but I think they'd like to include younger people in any of their efforts.

Yes there is a march next year, in April! Follow this link

I am going, btw. Have already made the decision and cleared my planner. I hope to see many of you there. I am bringing a (cheap) camera so as to document any potential police brutality.

wtf, dietl was on AGAIN ? Who was interviewing him this time ? I've seen him once on Oreilly's show, and he walked all over Oreilly (because oreilly is an idiot). THEN he went on Cavuto, and Cavuto put the screws to him BIG time. Neil has MS and hows how all of this works, so it's no surprise he's in our corner.
You are so right though, Dietl is the most pathetic, drooling, spitting, yelling oaf of a man I've ever witnessed. It's bad enough he's stockpiling drugs he purchased illegaly INCLUDING via his CHILDREN, but now we come to find out he was hired by the friggin drug companies!!!!! Bo Dietl is the absolute lowest life form on this earth, I wish him nothing but a full summary return of all the suffering he will cause via proxy on the sick and impoverished in this nation. Bo, if you're reading this, I would just like to tell you that you are a worthless sadistic scumbag, and my wettest of dreams would be to tell you that to your face, daily. Wise up you has-been.

Agreed.. but.... we all need to be more pro-active in stating our views to the media/public.. If any of you are savy when it comes to writting, then you should really think about contacting the media/local papers/government, ect.. and express your views to them.. It's not good when the only public voice is this guy... ya' know.. I'm trying my hardest to do the best I can, so I hope some of you do the same..

That's GREAT! We need to make sure there is a lot of POSITIVE publicity with this event.

We are NOT going to get thru to Dubya. That just won't happen, so the goal is to get thru to enough other people that it will matter to Dubya.

That is so true, if it was only alcohol or a certain other illegal substance that begins with the letter C we might get somewhere.
