TDI and ST. PETE'S similarities
      #109593 - 10/23/03 10:44 AM

Has anyone noticed how similar TDI and St. Peter's Apothecary are? They use the same bottles, the labels are exactly the same except for a few name changes and they both are in Pennsylvania. On the labels it is very peculiar how similar they are. They have the same type, colors, and formats. Just seeing if anyone else recognized this.

Are they both in Crafton, PA? Same outfit, different labels? Or maybe the local pharmaceutical supplier just outfits everybody with the same bottles and labels etc.

I thought I was the only one to notice this until I saw this post.
The similarities were the first thing I noticed when I got my first order from St Petes. I too wonder if they're connected. I'm not worried, I only use NWW and St Pete's, but it does make you wonder.

They are definitely connected. I think they are owned by the same person. They don't however, seem to share databases.

I think they are connected but they are not the same place. I actually went to St. Pete's to pick up my script, because I live near Pittsburgh. St.Pete's is in Imperial and TDI is in Crafton (both very close to Pittsburgh, actually Crafon is a suburb of Pitt.) They are about 20 minutes from each other. So they are probably owned by the same people, but they are not the same place.

zoecece is correct. This subject was delved in to when they first opened. Since DB has been swamped with new members the last six months, and everybody starts a whole new thread on a subject instead of posting on a thread that already covers a topic, it is hard to stay up to speed without doing day's of searching.
They are owned by the same person, but they do not share their database.

I spoke to a onwer of a OP and asked the same question and found TDI,ST PETES, BI-WISE, are in no way affiliated however they do share the same computer system with matching software jsut like car dealerships,restaurants....which explains the labels and what not, i was convinced till I was told otherwise....

I think it was about 9 months or so ago - but TDI got in alot of trouble for "unethical practices". It was never clearly defined, but one of the issues invovled medicaid/medicare fraud. I read several articles about it and I know that "the authorities" had "seized the owner's assests" etc. St. Pete's may be their solution to TDI eventually being shut down? I know that the matter is still under investigation and the early articles stated that TDI did run the risk of forced closure. Just a thought.
