So the lady that wrote all those articles for the Washington Post was on this morning talking about online OP's/IOP's and counterfit drugs on the market. Some of her explanations on why she thinks they are dangerous made sense (as far as the IOP"s sending fake medication) but then she started off on the rant about hydrocodone online and how easy it is to get.. I said what the hell and called in, because they were taking calls.. Well, I didn't get through while she was on, but I was able to talk to the main host about it. I voiced my views on the situation, but didn't get a reply..(he just hung up)..
Me: "Online OP's are a service to our Nation. People without insurance cannot spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on doctor's visits that will only leave them with medication that won't help their situations" "Chronic Pain pacients and people that suffer from pain and have correct medical records can legally talk with reputaple online company's and get the medication they need" " I think OP's are a service to our community and as long as they all addopt a service that requires medical records, phone consultations, ect, they are doing nothing wrong"..
Him: Hung uP...
Ohh well at least I was able to voice my view on the subject. Also, 90% of all the callers were on the same line as I...Explaining the outrageous prices America has for medication. All in all.. the attention it got was bad, but the callers that called in had good points. To bad the one's that talked to her, didin't have any education skills..
Get her e-mail, say she was rude and send her the go email the doctor story - that shows we're all american folks, uninsured, in pain and at our wit's end:
