I don't think you can get Temgesic (buprenorphine) from a U.S. OP as it has been reschuled to a schedule III drug and it is only prescribed in the US for opiate withdrawal. You will probably have to use 247-drugstore.com, destinyrx.com, or clickdrugstore.com, all of whom are IOP's. Out of these, click is the quickest at 7-10 days.

Nope. Buprenex is still indicated for pain. It only comes in injectable form. All forms are changed to a C-III now and i don't know of any U.S. OPs that will prescribe injectable pain killers. Bupe scrips of any sort get special scrutiny because of its now FDA-approved indication for drug detox and the need for the prescribing doctors to go to "Bupe School." The high-dose new sublinguals can only be prescribed for drug detox. Any doctor willing to take the heat who is in good standing with the DEA and their state licensing board can write a pain scrip for Buprenex. The pharmacies will probably report it if they do. Good Luck!

I'm curious what the effects of Temgesic are. Could it be a hydro substitute? Meaning, will it get rid of the pain and provide that hydro soothe?
Destinyrx.com sent me an email suggesting "T*mgsic 0.2mg Sublingual (Buprnorphine)" as an alternative to the hydro I asked if they had. Weird spelling too. Is this stuff worth a try for hydro holidays or even all around replacement?
Thanks.

This is a good question. Does anybody have experience with this drug? How effective is it with pain? How is its effects different from hydro, oxy, or others? If anybody knows these answers or has a link for furhter reading...
Many thanks!

I can say one thing from experience...buprenex/buprenorphine did nothing for pain...not for me and about a dozen or so other people I know.
It has it's uses, but I'd say pain relief is NOT one of them.
Especially when you take cost into account. Bupe is way too expensive, still. After 8+ months of bupe, I wouldnt waste my cash again. Good luck finding docs who will write for it now, too. They are disappearing fast now that many are finding that it really is NOT such a great tool for getting people off opiates.

I have about 140 of those thing sitting in my closet. They don't have any effect on pain no matter how many I use. They are the Tidigesic brand. I've tried the Siams, too, with the same results. The ones I have don't expire until 12/04, so that's not the problem.
