Ok, I got my tracking # last night, I checked it at 7 this morning, all looks good, it is in Columbia. So I go about my morning routine, check again at 10:30, and it is in Ithaca. Ok, one huge problem---I DON'T LIVE IN NY, lol. So I call on my cell phone, and I after like 20 minutes of saying "rep" I get through. They don't know why it would go to Ithaca when it should have came to Georgia...so they are putting a trace on it. Grrrr. I asked them if they could still deliver it today...I am not holding my breath. Now I will have to sit home yet again tommorow probobly. The DH is going to mutiny if I don't go grocery shopping again today, lol.

I feel for you. My last package from NWW got lost in a town about 2 hours from where I live. I noticed it around 7:30 in the morning. So I got right on the phone and eventually got to talk to a rep. He said they would put a trace on it, and they did. He called me back about an hour later and said that it was indeed two hours away and they were trying to see if they could get an outside courier to bring it down to me. I explained that the package was medication, very important, but I could tell already that they weren't going to try and get it to me that day (which was a Friday). He called me back and said no courier was available and I would get it the next day before noon. Hello, why do you need a courier if your main purpose on earth is to deliver things. I was so pissed off at Fed Ex, and they had always been great before. I even posted a few months ago about how they rocked. I guess it really depends on who you talk to at customer service. Good luck.

Now I've had packages reach the FedEx area here in my town, and the time would say like 3:55 am, then when I check back an hour later, it would say.... reached FedEx Hub in Texas or something like that, and it didn't make any sense, I live in Ca. and I would of course panick....
But... come to find out, with all the different time zones, when ever the package would be scanned in one time zone, it would effect the order that it showed up on the tracking page, so it did go thru Texas, but by the time it reached my time zone, it hadn't been scanned in for the correct time of the other time zone.... it's kinda confusing, but my packages always arrived.
So don't freak just yet, it could just be a time zone scan delay.
And if it was accidently sent to NY, then you need to raise your voice, and talk to a supervisor, and tell them you want you package today!!!!!!
You know what they say, the squeekist wheel gets the oil!!! And instead of dealing with an irate customer, they will get you your package!!
Good luck, and please let us know how it goes!!

Just a quick update, I talked to a tracking agent who tried to tell me that Ithaca is close to Georgia, lol. At any rate, they said they would try to expedite it, but the cutoff was at noon. Gee, yah well I tried at 10:30, it isn't my fault they didn't check their stuff untill AFTER noon. I have a bad cold, so my most demanding voice kind of sounds like Chucky from the RugRats...It is hard to be taken seriously, lol.

I hate to be the one always jumping to the defense of Fedex, and I don't doubt anybody's stories, but over the years I have had nothing but good experiences with them, on both the sending and receiving ends.
I could bore you all for hours with my tales of sorrow involving screw-ups by DHL and my own personal bete-noir, the dread Airborne. But Fedex has always been, for me at least, that strange anamoly, a huge corporation that actually does it's job well.

I had that same problem once, where it looked like my meds were bouncing all over the place, going further away rather than closer, going back to some places more than once. It was crazy, just like your post.
I Called Fedex and they told me that scans go in at different times and so sometimes your meds are long gone when the site is claiming they are in a particular state.
In my case I had no worries because even though my meds were supposedly halfway across the country according to the site, they were in my hands by 10:30 AM.
Have a little faith, they just might surprise you!

Yep, LOVE FedEx so far at least. They've never screwed anything of mine up and I've had a lot of stuff delivered in past few months. Sometimes their online tracking is either a little weird or a little slow though, but they do their job well.

I have had this happen before except they gave me the run around for two days, so I simply called customer service and told them that this was medication and if I didn't have it today that they would be paying the bill for the ER trip that I would be making that night. My package was supposedly two hours away, but my doorbell rang in only 1 hr. and I had what I needed. Don't let them do that to you! Fedex is a courier service, what do they mean they don't have anyone to drive it to you! That is their job!

FedEx has been wonderful to me. Almost a year ago FedEx screwed up & sent my order to a hub in a different state, realized the error, and flew my package to the correct hub. Unfortunately the package did not arrive at my local airport until the evening of the day (Friday of course!) it was scheduled to be delivered.
I called the main 1-800-G0-FEDEX number & explained that the package contained medication which I could not go without. FedEx actually hired a local car-messenger service to drive the package to me at around 10-10:30 pm that night. Along with the package, the messenger handed me a copy of the invoice for the messenger fee charged to FedEx - I can't remember the exact fee but it was in excess of $60...now THAT is customer service!
My local FedEx guy is great too...I order alot (non-meds) online & from catalogues, usually choosing 2 day shipping. Each & every time (when Mike is working) I get my packages the next day...he's told me that he specifically checks if anything for me is waiting at the hub as he's in my neighborhood daily anyway. If I'm not home when he tries to deliver a "Signature-Required" package, he leaves a message on my cell phone asking me to give him a call as to when I WILL be home so he can return at the end of his route. If he actually manages to reach me on my cell, he'll sign for me (except for things from Dell) & leave my packages in a hidden location. I know thats against company regulations but he is always so great that I'd just eat the loss and not complain to FedEx if my package was missing.
I do sympathize with everyone who continues to have poor experiences with FedEx & other couriers - I wish you all could have the service of my hub & delivery guy.
