I'm honored to be able to help my fellow DB members. IMO,we have the Greatest Group of Folks on the net and we Each deserve only the Best.

Jeremiah, all the computer security info that you put in your 'Links' was such a great help. I am so techno challenged and my computer crashed not once, but TWICE! I think the first crash was because of a virus, then when we had our computer repaired the guy loaded everything wrong and it crashed again. Anyway, needless to say, thanks to your links, I now have an arsenal on my puter. LOL

I remember when your puter was acting up the 2nd time,so the guy loaded the stuff wrong,huh? I sure hope he fixed it right for no charge. That's a shame when we trust these folks because we can't do it and they mess it up worse.
Reminds me of unethical auto mechanics.
Yeah, I'm thinking if we can arm ourselves at least with the basics and let the computer do the rest,at a minimum we have some knowledge and wont be taken in so easily by the viruses,etc..out on the web. PC's are here to stay.
I remember when the general public didn't think TV's were going to last,and now they've created one that hangs on the wall! (I bet that's handy to have around)

Actually we took it to a different place the second time and had to pay alot less than we did the first time, but we did get everything in writing about it being loaded wrong, so we plan on paying the first guy a visit this weekend to see what he has to say. I think some sort of 'restitution' is in order.

Boy Howdy, Restitution is right! Like,umm..a full refund?
Especially when you show #1 the bill from #2 to do it correctly. If he doesn't agree,there is always the Manger,District Manager then Regional Manager. If still no satisfaction, the US Office of the Attorney General for your State offers a 'Consumer Complaint Division" and they Do contact the Business. For Free.
I'm sure you already know this,just burns my behind. I have a tendency to become very Pro-Active when it comes to Businesses who try to fly under the radar regarding customer satisfaction these days.
Sorry if I went off the deep end,but I remember well the frustration you were having because of that.
