Well with my newly diagnosed degenerative disk disease, my doc was starting to get a little better with giving out pain meds, but all of the sudden he stopped, and now want's to try these worthless nsaids (Celebrex, which I had a terrible reaction to--shortness of breath, and Bextra, which doesn't work at all.)I am wondering if I should ask for my medical records and try an op to get the pain relief that I need. How and where do I start? Can anyone help?

Well, if your needin something and he won't give it to ya, then I would request my records and use one of the better op's. I know it can be intimidating to ask for your records. I don't know if ya want to give him(your doc) another try and see what he says. But you should not have to sit and suffer after he has already treated you with narcotic pain meds and now wants to run the gammit of the anti-inflamitories or whatever they are. Do you plan on still seeing him for your condition? IF you are through with him then by all means do what ya gotta do
