I have seen alot of posts that recomend taking a 2-3 day "hydro holiday". Anyone who has been taking them for weeks or months has built up a tolerance, as well as for lack of a better term, addiction. My question is what can one do to prevent the withdrawal that would come with this holiday? I can handle the sweats, shakes, sleeplessness, sick stoumach, but those god-awful restless arms and legs, I just cant deal with. I cant take benzos or muscle relaxers, as my dr. give drug tests, and we cant have those showing up on them. Any other suggestions? Thanks
I took my 2 week hydro-holiday cold turkey! Loads of people will tell you not to do it that way for various reasons, but for me, that was the only way to go. I could deal with the nausea and the headaches- but the worst of it was the melancholic state of mind I had- accepting that I was dependent on the meds to do every day things that I use to be able to do and that horrible, worse than it's ever been back pain! That only lasted 2 days, but it was a very rough 2 days. Good luck, however you manage to get through it

Glad you got thru your holiday . How did it effect your tolerance? If you dont mind, what was your dose before the holiday, and then after; that adaquatly controled your pain? Thanks
