Not only is TROPICALRX now requiring patients wait 90 days between narcotic pain med refills/re-orders as someone noted on a post I just read, but I also learned this morning that MEDPHARMRX has adopted the same policy. The two sites are not owned by the same company, but both use the same pharmacy, Clinical Solutions and same Doctor (Dr. Lynch now).
MEDPHARMRX has a number of other sister sites with the same 90 day wait policy (the CS rep rattled off about 10 names I didn't bother to write down).
This 90 wait policy took effect on Monday 9/29 when the pharmacy and doctor agreed to it. The rep didn't know if it was caused by any regulatory pressure.
The most they offer is 90 pills (e.g. #90 Lortab 10/500s), so I asked the rep. if this means I should only take one a day for 90 days, even though the great Dr. Lynch prescribed 4 a day on my bottle. He basically said, "tough luck, go see your local doctor for more meds".

Yes, unfortunately it has come to this. The game is up. They, meaning big Brother, the Feds, "they" are winning, and the pain patients, us, the individuals who are trying to take care of ourselves (a good all-American trait that used to be admired), are the losers.
Nothing we can do about it now, and it's going to get worse. All the OP's are going to follow more strict guidelines in order to comply with harsher laws, or just to keep off the radar of the DEA.
In this current political climate, and most notably since Ashcroft Inc and his Christian-corporate cronies wrote their own laws on the heels of the attacks in NY, we have all become quiet, docile, compliant. No one protested when they took our freedoms away one by one. OP's changing policies is just one step in the curbing of freedoms. Strictly speaking, we're not even allowed to buy aspirin from Canada anymore.
Our best hope is to try and regain the sympathy of our Doctors again, if we don't want to suffer. The days of being worry free and getting relief in the mail are over. We'll still find the odd source here and there, but there won't be anything consistent.
What we need, and deserve, is our freedom to medicate ourselves. To be allowed the responsiblity of monitoring our pain and medicating it. Maybe it will happen, who knows. I just read in the news that my state has just been elected to become a "free state" in the next few years. Maybe they will take the idea of freedom seriously. I hope so..
Be pain-free!

Same doctor, same pharmacy, many sister sites - I wonder why? Could be that you could order from more than one of the sister sites concurrently, sorta like in parallel universes

I found out today that the sisters talk to each other across their parallel universes and share notes, so watch out.

And how did you find that out?

I was looking for a new source since I can't wait 90 days for a re-order and stumbled onto a site that looked good. Turned out to be a sister and they now share records so I had to call and cancel/void the order and get my $ back.
Maybe I should start a site and get hooked up with a doctor friend of mine and TDI or something. It sounds like there is alot of demand out there for a new site with a good reputation for ontime rapid delivery, quality products and good communication/customer service. Plus nearly all these customers (us) are price isensitive to a point and will pay $150 to $200 a pop for generics that cost 10% of that or less wholesale.
Even a hundred orders a day works out to $100,000 a week after the cut for the doc, pharmacy, shipping and CS reps. Run it for a few months and cashout with a few million $$ (plus all the free hydro refills you can use )!

I like your thinking on starting one up - the business case is very compelling. But my question is really did you cancel your order with the sister because you assumed that the fact they shared records would result in you being denied both orders? That you would be put on some "blacklist"? Is it possible that they have created so many sisters to enable customers to get around the new refill restrictions the government is placing on them? It's easy to screw up your record keeping/sharing. Look at you business case again and think about it.

My personal experience:
The day that my refill was due with Tropical is the day their 90-day wait policy went in to effect, so, I went over to their sister site, MedPharmRX, and ordered from them (just yesterday). I ordered around noon and received my order today a little after 10:30 am. As long as your orders do not run in to the same 25-day time frame, they don't have a problem with it...now if I could just find another for the NEXT 25 days

Why don't you guys just move over to a place like Meds123 or EPHY.com? They don't have this hassle, you get your 100 pills every 25 days and you get them fast-within 24 hours usually. Im not advertising for any particular OP, but I have always used MEDS123 and I have never had any big problems. I don't understand why so many people take chance with thier money and meds like this? If they are giving you problems, find a better place.

Medpharmx and Tropicalrx both use Clinical and same doctors, but have separate customer service and ordering databases that don't share info. so parallel universes can exist if you know what I mean.
Medpharmx, however, has a shared database from all of their dozens of sisters (excluding the Tropical family) and they flag and do not allow pre-90 day orders from ANY of the sister sites.

everyone is talking about a 90 day wait, is this for a script of 90 meds? So would a 60 day wait be for an order of 60 meds? I mean, geeze, you take 1 every 6 hours or even further apart and 60 is to last 3 months?? I even cut them in half and that isn't gonna make it last.

Does anyone know if we can get scripts written by tropicalrx transferred to another pharmacy (such as a local one) that do not have to follow this crappy new policy. What about OPs in general - has anyone ever attempted to transfer a script?

I know that this particular topic has been discussed all over the board but i do remember reading on some Op's site - in very small print - that they would transfer the script anywhere but for the grand amount of $300!
