It seems Beau Dietl of Imus fame and a former NY detective and currently a very respectable PI which a fairly large firm, is on a rampage about OPs. He had his son fill out a form from one of these that don't require records and received prozac, and of course his son is 12 years old. Although this is outrageous, I think he needs to concentrate his efforts on the one's that don't require records. I have recently emailed his firm with my concerns with his campaign to close all OPs. I think he has a hard time distiguising the good ones from the bad. It wouldn't be a bad idea to barrage his website with success stories of all of us with actual pain or anxiety that our local doctors just refuse to prescribe what is needed. He is having meetings with senators and represenatives concerning OPs as I write this.

How would one reach said PI? It's a little silly to 'sit' with your child and order from an OP- lol- come on already! Okay, so the kid prolly never would have done this on his own and had to have daddy do this with/for him- so this is basis for shutting OP's down? If anything, this should be basis for ole` dad getting a fine or two on account of getting his son in this situation! Perhaps we're looking at the wrong angle here, huh?

Why would you listen to that refuse anyway? I would ask him if his kid LIED to obtain the meds and then tell him that if he did that he had broken the law and should be arrested. The PI should be arrested as well on child endangerment.

This joker was on The Abrams Report last night ragging about this same thing. However, it sounds like he was ordering from international OP's. I guess some people don't see the difference between a child sitting in front of the computer at the behest and supervision of their parent as opposed to a child thinking to do this on their own. Not a very good example of how "bad" online pharmacy/prescriptions are or are not. Oh, and on the Abrams show he also said "you can get Oxycontin" on from these sites. Really? This was news to me.

I saw part of Beau on Imus as I was surfing the channels. If more than 100 people in the USA listen to Imus in the morning that would be bigger news than what Beau talked about!! SOC

Beau Dietl is not a guy to have against you. This worries me, greatly. He is not a bad person overall, he needs to be inundated with GOOD news about this system, or he's not going to stop.
Also I have to wonder, isn't cajoling your children into buying medication online, a criminal offense ?

anybody here ever been in a county jail??? inhumane is a mild word to decribe it!!!! they sure treat you as if your guilty until proven innocent!!!!!
oh GOD i hope i didnt make any cops mad because they can do whatever they want, you know there above the law!!!

Caveman : I agree.
My question is -this guy is a private investigator.
Was he hired by someone to set this up, or is this just something he's taken upon himself to do ?
It's a shame he's so misinformed.
Why aren't there ever any stories on how many people have been "helped" ?

Thanks for the link, Yakyaw .
What caught my eye was his quote " he's considering a class action lawsuit on behalf of all the children".
There it is. Knew there had to be a motive somewhere.
Money. ( and of course more publicity for his company.)

Heck that may actually be a good thing, use up a bunch of his time and money, and lose terribly. I'm assuming of course that logic and compassion will play a role at the hearings.
Will he be presenting the facts about his children purchasing drugs on the internet with his financing and encouragement I wonder ??? If not, perhaps we can submit this information to the courts via certified mail. Should he sue.
This guy has obviously never had or known anyone with major health or pain problems, with little money.

Eh, I would worry about the foot-soldiers and low-ranking officers the least. They are the most like the citizenry, take ALL of the risk, and make the least money. They more than any other branch of law enforcement are likely to sympathize with their fellow citizens. If an accountant has a bad day, she comes home frazzled and stressed. If a cop has a bad day, she doesn't ever come home again. Much respect to the LEO's in the world. It's the bureaucrats and politicans that should draw the ire of the ailing and pained communities, they make the laws that the stand-up guys and gals have to enforce, or be fired.
