Hey everybody... i'm sitting here filling out the YOD questionnaire, and I was wondering what everybody put for the question 'increased taking of pain medications?' (I know, the truth, but just hear me out) I ask because, I only need a couple of vicos a day, but I would like to get the full 120 pill scrip if I can because it decreases the per pill cost significantly. I am not sending in the part of my records that shows how many pain pills i was on, so I'm thinking of telling the doc I've been on 1 10/325 4-5 times a day. Does that sound like any doc would have started me with that much, or I should check the box for 'increased taking of pain meds' to make it more realistic? I'm not trying to deceive, I'm just poor, so if I can get a sixmonth supply for about the same price as a three month supply, then I need to do it. thanks all!

No, I wouldn't check that box. I would tell the dr or assistant that you take 3-4 a day.
I completely understand where you are coming from in regards to money!
Please let the pros answer this as I could be very wrong!!
Good choice of OP.

Yes, I definately agree with twins, I just told them that I take it 4x a day and the Dr. approved 120. Just a note" the Dr. at yod will NOT give toy 120 10/650 as that is to much acetominamen, so you need to ask for eith 10/500 or 10/325, This was my experience with them. Anglwink

would completely be up to dr discretion....normal dosing would be 1 tab q 4-6 hours as needed for pain....the worst that can happen is they'll say no, right? think of your pocket book & don't feel bad

Actually , i would concider checking the box. The whole thing depends on the consultation anyway ( wheather you get 60 meds , 90 , 120, or anything at all - it depends on the phone consult ) I would try it , tell the dr sometimes you have a few bad days a month , and you dont want to be short meds. The worst thing they can do is say no. I dont think it would keep them from giving 90 if they thought you needed it and had good records. Never hurts to try. I really think it all will depend on how you speak on the phone. I am sure the box isnt there just to see if anyone checks it so they can istantly deny you. Id try it ( but thats just me ) I have found you can get many things from these drs if you just ask. ( think about it , the bigger script they sell you , the bigger their kickback is )

Well, I'm not sure how much attention the doc pays to the questionnaire. I think the records with the consult are the places attention is really given.
