Now that I'm back from the banned, I want to briefly speculate on what happened to Raj, one of the best IOP's out there.
Sometime early last summer a post appeared on DB referencing a newspaper article about a man who either accidently OD'd or comittted suicide with IOP drugs. I think the original post came from "legitimate" but I can't find it, so who knows.
The newspaper article referenced blister packs of opiates (codeine) and benzo's found in the deceased's abode, in addition to envelopes with a New Delhi postmark. Insufficient to convict Raj of anything serious, but certainly enough to bring the authorities on to his case in a major way, as we have seen.
I don't know if this story is true or, if it is not, what will happen, but I'd steer clear of OLS4U until the folks with five month old orders - including me - get some resolution.

This speculation is based totally on circumstantial evidence. In addition, there are neither reference citations to the "legitimate" press that allegedly reported nor what the poster actually wrote. This is how rumors get started. anna22

OK - I found the URL from the original post:http://www.thekcrachannel.com/health/2210576/detail.html
as I'd emailed it to Raj on 5/17/03. As I said this was speculation, but look at the time frame when OLS4U started having trouble making shipments. Before June of this year I was 10 for 10 from Raj, since June I'm 0 for 1.

Plotinus...thanks for the link...it did indeed clarify the legitimate news source and provided some substantive information about the sad story.
Until the rest of the facts are in, it's still circumstantial to link it to Raj. There are several IOPs in India that carry the same products, so I'm just going to be patient and wait until there is a direct connection made. One of the things I like about DB is the dialogue that flows re: issues about which we have insufficient concrete information. Your info was appreciated. anna22

Hi anna - if you're interested, here is the original thread on the news article Plotinus was speaking of, including some very interesting responses from DB members.
Take care

As I said it was speculation. Took another look at the photo from the TV channel and think I was wrong. Raj used a lot more tape and atleast with me his shipments always came in blisterpacks, not loose as the pills in the photo appear to be. Anna, you were right about starting rumors.

plotinus...thanks for starting this thread and providing the first link. In tandem with lovepink's link, there was some good evidence. To backup your revised "speculation" that the packaging looked different than Raj's, the last poster indicated that the IOP used a label maker for addressing and only had three return addresses. In my experience, Raj uses handwritten envelopes and has the parcels mailed from a few cities.
This is all very interesting. BTW, I'm flame retardant, but remain obsessive about evidence. Don't get banned again. As evidence, this is a productive thread thusfar.
Take care. anna22

The last post in lovepink's thread about the note on the cardboard is what made me go look again -- I didn't ever remember any writing on Raj's cardboard just tons of tape.
BTW - re: flames, I notice the mods have deleted that post too. I think I'm having way better luck with my IOP deliveries than with the mods right now - result of being on double secret probation, I guess.

digitalone...for those of us not familiar with that IOP, what evidence from the picture did you find to make that link? This is just a question!! Also, where is Interpharm located? Thanks for any information. anna22

It's not interpharm. I sent the link to them and they confirmed it. Plus, interpharm *never* ships from India. They usually ship from their homebase, much further east.
